What Game Services/Web Sites do you subscribe to?

I''ve been thinking of dropping fileplanet for the shack but maybe I''ll just use whatever storage I get from my isp for my avatars and such rather than my web box.

*sigh*

IGN Insider. But that''s it. Otherwise, I frequent Blue and EA pretty often, and generally make a pilgrimage to Boomtown or Gamespot every week or so.

Wow... thanks for the heads up on gametab! What an awesome site... can''t believe I''ve never heard of it before now.

Yeah I like Gamespot and IGN for the email updates - signed for the Beta chance on Gamespot last night :).

Well, I looked at both GS and IGN, and their annual prices seem pretty reasonable. To folks who are subscribed to either service, are they worth your money, and what extra do they offer? Thanks.

IGN isn''t bad. Perhaps because i''m easily entertained. But I digress...

IGN insider doesn''t offer much in the way of exclusives, since all of IGN''s reviews become free anyway.

I personally get the most bang for my buck out of the Video Previews that are offered (the latest one is for Burnout 3, which is scaling even further up my ''Must-Get'' list) which have helped me in the Yes/No process on buying a game. Also offered are Video Reviews (Meh), some Dev. Q&As and Interviews (Again, Meh), Gaming Life In Japan (Moderately interesting, but only because Japan''s inherent insanity comes through loud and clear), and Head-To-Head matchups of what console a multi-platform game looks best on (Unbelieveably Meh). Also, you can get some Game Guides with the membership, but with GameFAQs, it''s rendered a little silly.

I had (have) the monetary flexibility for a quick splurge, and that was the one I chose. It''s not spectacular, but I''m not feeling scammed out of my hard-earned cash.

I avoided paying for IGN.com and even NextGeneration.com back in the day, clearing my cookies to download more than the allowed images. I eventually signed up for IGN about a month or so ago, and when you really think about it - the $20 or whatever a year it costs is well worth being able to download some nice 640x480 movies, and the video reviews/previews are definitely welcome.

I figured, hell.. I spend $13 on an OXM issue with a preview disc, for one MONTH.. and I used those discs mostly for the previews etc.

I don''t buy magazines any more unless I''m really really bored, web content is faster and all I need. I tried Zinio for about 5 seconds and decided it sucked

My morning routine is to hit (in various orders)

evilavatar
gamers with jobs
penny-arcade
slashdot/games
gamefaqs (for the polls)
insider.ign.com

and of course my home theater sites on which I am doing far too much research.
