True Fantasy Live Online cancelled.

TFLO used the LIVE headset so no realy need for a keyboard other than to type your name really.

EDIT: When the OXM demo disc had videos for the game along with Otogi 2 (US release in October!), Phantom Dust, and Magatama this truly was one of the games alot of customers wanted to play.

Ah well, I can''t say that I thought this one was going to do well, but I liked some of the art style and was willing to give it a shot just for the novelty, I imagine a lot of folks felt that maybe. Maybe they can still shop it around but I suspect it''s dead jim.

Again...thats all well and good in theory..but would it have actually worked?

Voice communication on a scale of 16-32 players is one thing...its another for several hundred in the same area.

That and it would be rough on female players. Females have a history in MMPs of being mistreated when some males fine out. They get harrassed.

They get harrassed.

Or extra gifts, which I guess could be harassment. Back when I lived with EQ heads they would have women characters to get free items all the time.

Sorry for the thread resurrect, but Microsoft finally answered some questions about why it was cancelled here (link from Blues News):

Q: What was the most prudent reason for cancelling the development of TFLO?

A: Many online games suffer long delays in order to work out all problems of developing such a game. With that said, we became very concerned at just how long it would take to finally wrap up development. Things became very indefinite and worrying and we thought of delaying the game yet again, but we took the difficult step in ending development of the game.

All that when he simply could have said: ""Costs being too high.""
