Krispy Kreme update - what the cost is in the UK.

I've had several Krispy Kreme doughnuts. As mentioned in a previous post the company's second UK store opened today.

I thought you might be interested in a few of the Krispy Kreme Kosts.

KK assortment (12 normal, 12 variety ) £12.95 / US$22.88

Original Kreme milk drink (large) £1.85 / US$3.26

Single plain doughnut £0.90 / US$1.59

Ninja Gaiden £39.99 / US$70.65

Ninja Gaiden bought at HMV.

Ah yes, but which of these did you get more enjoyment from, the Doughnuts, or Ninja Gaiden?

Unless they put LSD in the doughnuts, you could at least finish them without going insane.

Seeing as I put about the same amount of time into each of them, eating a donut and playing ninja gaiden, I would guess that the donut is much more enjoyable.

Dammit now I want a krispy kreme again...can''t we just stop talking about Kripsy kremes...
Or how bout we refer to them in code...call them rainbow bears or something....
(but don''t tell me the code)

Sure, it''ll be like those radio commercials wherein they replace ""Affordable Health Care"" with ""Cuty Fuzzy Puppies"" or something.

Let me think of some code...

I''d sure like to go out and eat a dozen baby iguana''s right now...

Wait, that doesn''t work...

No that worked.
see *points to self*
no craving for krispy kremes...dammit.

Man, i just ate 1/2 a dozen last night. Not only was there cream in the donut and coffee, but after I was done eating, in my pants as well.

Erm don''t you ever feel like you need a brisk walk around the block after eating so many rotund lard brickettes?
Given the fascination with healthy eating around here lately these things are going to go down like bran flakes through the small intestine.

I''m off to McDonalds to have a salad. (!?!?!)

I know the exchange rate is in the UK consumer''s favour, but isn''t anyone surprised at how high the dollar price is for the doughnuts?

I''m sure they use high quality dough, cooked in a high quality oven, using high quality heat, served by high quality staff with high quality mannerisms.
Its probably just an old fashioned rip off, are they any good?

They''re OK, but very sweet. The glaze on them comes off very easily, which can be messy and annoying. The doughnuts are very light - my father described them as ''thin''. They''re quite different in texture and density to the type of doughnuts sold in UK supermarkets.

Circular, sticky, sweet heaven. (OoCT for you)

I think your''s are more expensive than what I''ve seen here, but I haven''t specifically looked at KK prices lately. I seem to remember a dozen was only around $6-7, $22 for two dozen seems way too high.

Funny. Get the supersized salad while you are at it.

I kid, actually. On the way back from NY this weekend, we stopped at BK, and since I''m lo-carb (doctor''s orders, not a fad dieter), I got one of their new Fajita salads.

Damn good, or at least, far exceeded my expectations.

Tastes like crunchy frog! Yum!
