My Best Song of the Moment

Mel Torme - Moonlight in Vermont

Pennies in a stream, falling leaves the sycamore...

Oh please. We all know you won''t stop listening to the YMCA song.

Mine is ""Yi shi de mei hao"", from Zhang Shao Han (part of the Dolphin Bay movie soundtrack). Very pretty song.

This morning as I was eating my Cherios, I Pagliacci by Pavorotti came onto the playlist. Most dramatic breakfast I''ve ever had.

Symphony X - Awakenings it is. Or Adagio - Immigrant Song, a Led Zeppelin cover (yeah, yeah, Viking Kittens, I know), which I actually find better than the original.

Runner''s High (FLCL version) by The Pillows. Perfect music for a sunny day like this.

The Velvet Fog!?

Adagio for strings was what I listened to this morning when I woke up.

Random Rules - Silver Jews.

Subway to Sally - Die Ratten. I don''t know why but I can''t get this song out of my head

Kalen - Soulive. Funk is good.

Hey Mr.
Galactic Cowboys

whatever that''s playing when the map changes in bf:V

P.O.D. - Boom (The Crystal Method remix)

You old softie you.

Actually, check out King Pleasure''s version. Tops even Ol'' blue eyes.

My song of the moment?

A Love Supreme
John Coltrane

Currently:
Will It Go Round In Circles - Billy Preston

Freight Train - Kasey Chambers

Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a diesel locomotive
I''d come whistlin'' down your track
Crashin'' in your door
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I didn''t have a heart
And you''d need a shovel for the coal
Just to get me started
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a freight train

It''s a cover... I can''t remember who originall recorded it. Her version is definitely sexier though.

That''s not a song -- it''s an orgasm.

Go ahead, drop the disk into the stereo, put on some headphones,
turn it up, close your eyes, listen.

Great start to the day.

at the moment it''s a tie between Combat Baby by Metric and Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand

Third movement (title forgotten) is the best part. Growwrrr.

My song of the moment: Alice - Tom Waits.

Miles Davis - So What

Seriously, Kind Of Blue needs to become required listening for humans.

sk8ter Boy by Avril Levigne

Mad World - Tears for Fears (not that crappy donnie darko remake)

Donnie Darko the film was quite Female Doggoin'' though. Although I will never claim to have understood it.

Nice choice. That one never gets old. And if you''re in that kind of mood, John Coltrain''s Love Supreme is right up there too.

Skynyrd''s One More From the Road cd has been getting a lot of time. And so has Sun Kill Moon''s Ghosts of the Great Highway cd.

Israel Vibration - Find Something To Do

Really, every song by these guys is solid. Ultra-mellow and positive message, just the thing when I need uplifting. 8)

For Miles, I prefer In A Silent Wayover Kind of Blue.

I''ll second that.

Get Away by Supreme Beings of Leisure

and to get me ridiculed by the masses:

Irish Blood, English Heart - Morrissey

I got a fever. And the only prescription... is more cowbell!
