Robot plane takes off, drops smart bomb, and lands safely. Jeff Bridges and Dustin Hoffman unharmed.

What about the Baldwin brothers? Are they OK or should we invade Canada?

I for one welcome our new robotic masters.

Lot cheaper than fighter jets, which run 20+, and more when you consider the price of the weaponry and the pilot''s training.

Does take some of the shock and horror out of war, though. I mean, where is the critical though, the debate on policy and morality, when all you have to do is remote someone to death?

Ohh, but the article says that these drones will be used to take out tactical targets like radar facilities and anti-air batteries, so that the human-controlled fighters can go in to do the actual killing. So, not to worry, it''s still humans flying inside rediculously complex machines doing the killing instead of humans outside the rediculously complex machine doing the killing.

A.K.A. a militant muslim''s worst nightmare.

Can a robot be an infidel?

No, but it can be an abomination.

A robot can only be what it was programmed to be.

Ah, the rules of war, so noble and civilized.
Why don''t we just let the machines fight and we''ll all take a holiday on a nice tropical beach somewhere.
