Good CD ripping software?

Can anybody recommend good quality freeware software for ripping tracks from CD? At the moment I've only got Creative's Play Center and I'm pretty sure there's something better out there. (It seems Play Center has this annoying habit of inserting clicks into the ripped WAVs :x)

The software doesn't have to do any encoding - I've got that covered with winLAME (nice little LAME-engine mp3 encoder).

One of the guys here recommended CDEX awhile back and I''ve been using it ever since. Easy to use and free = good combination.

Exact Audio Copy works for me. Also called EAC.

Thanks for the link, Drunkagain! I just finished ripping a CD with it and it''s exactly what I was looking for.

(That said, I''ll also have a go at EAC, Slick.)

Best one I''ve used is dbPowerAMP. It''s very versatile for those that demand it. I found that it rips more slowly than iTunes, though, so I usually find myself using iTunes instead.

I use my audio player, QCD, to rip tracks from CD''s. It''s not only the best audio player I''ve ever used, but it rips tracks very nicely, easily, and quickly.
