how did you find out about GWJ?

I know the Canadian Evil One personally. For better or for worse

I saw a thing on ""No Mutants Allowed"" ranting and decided to check this place out. I saw a a forum topic called ""Terry Goodkind is a jackass"" and sent it to my friend. He promptly replied and made an ass out of himself. I got interested for some reason with the place and haven''t left.

I have no friends.

In a beer/wine induced vision.

Actually, from EA...

I''m another EA migrant. And thank God GWJ is here, because the EA forums have increasingly become Shack-like in nature.

I always liked Elysium''s articles over at EA, so I decided to check out his new site when he announced it.

Ditto to the letter(although unlike minase, I actually liked certis also)

Oooh, does Evil Avatar send you threat letters often, guys?
I`m from EA as well, until in one of their posts there was mentioned GWJ being up and all that. I think I visited EA no more than three times after that.

Banner ad on Quarter to Three. I quit reading EA when Dave Long left, though I had started in the Texas Martini Foundation days.

Good God, I''ve been reading EA a long time. I remember that.

Yeah, I''m an EA convert as well, though I still read through the news over there.

Linked here to the interplay infinite lives comic from nma-fallout, if I recall correctly.. stayed (lurked) because I read a right-wing viewpoint that wasn''t immediately dismissed with the rolleyes smiley or a one liner. Not so much agreeing with the viewpoint as amazed that on the internet, people could remain this coherent.

/. thanks to one of Pyro''s links.

I followed a link from Voodoo Extreme. But I have an admission. For the longest while, when discussions of the past history particular people came up, I was always wondering why so many people were hanging out at Electronic Arts'' website.

*slaps head* doh

Don''t worry sheared, before I came here I had never even heard of Evil Avatar. Seriously. I think I saw a link to this site from Slashdot Games and said ""hey, that title sort of applies to me!"" Then, I came in and said ""there''s real people posting here! No custom 640x480 signatures with the Master Chief and grafitti font!"" Then, I got hooked, and discovered I was wrong! But, I''m hooked so that''s what matters. I''ve been fortunate enough to play in some great games with my ""little internet friends,"" as someone puts it. If this site ever went away, I''d die.

Damnit, where''d my signature with the Master Chief and the grafitti font go...

EA was my main news source. I ended up playing Dark Age of Camelot with a bunch of EA readers (including Gaald, Elysium, and...once or twice...Certis, among others who still visit here). I mourned Elysium and Certis''s passing on EA. Then it turned out they hadn''t, in fact, died. So when GWJ got announced, I jumped over here. Work was slow so my posts were long...and that tricked C and E into thinking I could write.

Now I draw comics and open the hell out of boxes.

I turned on my computer one day and was mystically transported to a land of milk and honey, where beautiful nymphs brought me beer and danced for me in the sunshine.

On a completely different day, work was slow and I was randomly link diving. I honestly have no idea how I ended up here, but I''m mighty glad I did. This is one of the few sites (""Now with no asshats!"") that I check more than once a day.

I found GWJ via google, just mining for some good gamer reviews. I think I started lurking after the Homeworld 2 review, and signed up and started posting after the PG2 review.

Oddly, I have no recollection of how I ended up here. Yes, I read EA. Yes, I remember Certis being there then leaving. Oddly, I remember nothing of Elysium. Hmm.

Why don''t you just come over to my house and kick me in the shin, Cold?

I was searching for Viagra on the black market when I was told it was sold cheaper here...

And...thanks to our website statistics software, we know that at least one person got to this site by searching for ""swirling ass"".

I was another member of the Exodus from EA. Once Certis and Elysium left (on the same day, IIRC) I also bailed. There was nothing left for me there except despair.

Now with no asshats!

Now this should be our slogan!

Saw a link for a review, either at Blues or EA, about a year ago & came over to check it out. The forums though, were the hook that kept me coming back again & again. After a couple of months, I figured I might as well register, since I was checking out the forums 3-4 times a day. The discussions always seemed to be fairly well thought out, or absolutely hilarious to read. Seriously, some of you guys should get jobs writing comedy, god knows Hollywood could use your talent.

i was moonlighting for the FBI monitoring foreign sites for ""evil-canadian"" activity. this site was fairly high on the threat list.

but even as you posed an immediate threat to US Security, i couldn''t resist posting.

er.. actually it was a link from Gone Gold.

I came here from a link on Blues News to an interview with Dr. Henry Jenkins, a guy from some University who defended video games in court. Great article.

Soon after I read this review of Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome and saw comments from my friend Dramatic Marlin and I signed up and added my own thoughts. LOL! I just searched the review and for unknown, perhaps sinister reasons both Marlin''s comment and my reply both show the author as Pyro!
Check it out!

I lurked after that for a while but started visiting regularly (some might say obsessively) after a bunch of the GWJ guys started to play BF/DC with us on the WSA server.

I had to re-sign up in February of this year, and now I know why! Pyro stole my identity! No wonder his post count is so high!

Another EA convert.

Well, I still check EA as well, but they almost never write anything original anymore, just link

Followed from EA''s as well.

Where is my coffee mug...?

I want to change my custom tag to GWJ Recruiter!
