So, are we going to setup some ongoing game schedules?

I wasn't even sure we were playing last night so I was wondering if someone was going to setup BFV and UT2K4 on the ongoing game calendar?

Once we have the server stable and running consistantly on a schedule we will add it to Gamecal. Quit rushing us!

Ok, ok!! Just asking

Ignore Certis, Flux. He gets pissy on Thursdays. And Mondays. He''s kind off on Wednesdays too, oh and definitely Tuesdays.

He is a tad crabby today it seems.

Isn''t today the day that GG gets his server back up from the issues it was having?

Hissssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Yeah, c''mon seriously. I''ve had UT2k4 since tuesday and have yet to have the opportunity to get my feeble noob self blasted all over the landscape by you guys!

Yes I figured out what was going on...

UltraVNC is just very buggy it seems... but it has some nice features so I''ll work with it..

Looks like we''ll now basically keep the Dual Opteron running BF:V every night and the P4 3ghz running UT2K4 every night..

The UT server will share bandwidth with the TS server so we''ll see how that works out..

Theres alot still being tweaked...so bear with me for a week or so as things get ironed out..

Please excuse my stupidity, but can the dual opterons handle a 32 player BFV game?

I believe Marlin''s only issue with having a lot of people was the network maybe? Not sure if it was processing power. *shrug*

I should hope so they are running at 2ghz and are essentially AMD 64FX chips but can run in SMP.

They are the server/workstation version of the AMD 64FX

But your second part is correct...it appears that BF:V is a serious bandwidth hog... Im working on doubling the bandwidth for the BF:V server to 3mbps

Aha...my plan worked!! I just wanted to hear you say it again!:) .............................

I''m in no hurry, myself. I ran UT2k4 the other night and it runs like sh*t. The demo was playable, but the full release runs aweful. Terrible framerates, choppiness, etc. Lots of things in the game wouldn''t draw on the screen, or take awhile to draw, like the turrets on the tanks, player skins & names, etc. I tried having player skins preload and not preload, either way was terrible.

So, I''m starting to build a new system.
