Need some feedback and have questions..

I'm building a personal website to catalog my published works, assets I've created, my resume, blog, table top game sessions, etc.

What is a good publishing system? How hard is it to set up PHPNuke?

Also if anyone would like to earn some extra cash and help me get it set up it would be awesome. It would only be like $100.

Thanks!

I would use post nuke rather then phpnuke (better build community IMO). It''s not hard to setup assuming your ISP supports all the things you need :). Building good themese is hard though, even with autotheme you can spend forever with it.

My host supports both and both come pre-loaded. From what I saw on sites that use them I like the pre-built themes better with post nuke. But then again I''ve never used either.

*should con ign into letting him use our publishing system*

Hell, man, if I knew how to do it I''d do it for ya for free.

Now, if you want some simply, puny HTML-based webpage, I''m your man.

The nuke (php or post) publishing system is so so, but you can soup it up very nicely with a couple add on''s one integrates well with on the photo gallery systems even. I like the post nuke community, if you havn''t checked it out you poke around www.postnuke.com. There are even some cool wrapper tools so folks like Farscry and create there crappy, ur elegant, static pages and them display within system correctly.
OUr guild resident art hack whipped out our autotheme lite setup at guildavatar.com in about a week of light tweaking, we based it off a generic theme. It''s not perfect but given that none of us have any time to serous coding it has a good look and feel IMO. I keep meaning to build a real nice theme for our family site but traffic is light that it never quite seems worth the effort.

The only thing I''d really worry about PostNuke is scaling. We''re getting to the point PostNuke is taxing the server too much. However I''m going to install a templating system to cache the various postnuke pages so that should take care of alot of it considering how often we update.

However PostNuke is great to get started quick and has the most modules and hacks of anything out there that I''ve seen.
