John Romero gets hitched.

Hrrmmm.

The bride is a comely young Romanian wench of the ripe age of nineteen. N-n-n-nineteen.

Now, far be it from me to pass judgement on anyone (well, except creationists ), and they probably gave this thing deep thought *cough*, and all happiness to them yadda, yadda. Honestly, I wouldn't complain if I had a girlfriend that age. Of course, then the age difference would be about three years instead of eighteen and far less people would spontaniously go EWWW when they heard about it.

They can braid each other''s hair and talk about their favorite Backstreet Boy together now.

The worse part is the waiting though....i hate waiting, it drives me nuts! (X_X) Since me and John got together in september we saw eachother less than 3weeks, and the rest we''ve been talking with eachother everyday....maybe for some people it seems easy but for me its not! Being with John is the greatst thing for me, i''ve never got along with someone the way i get along with John....we seem made for eachother because we understand eachother so well! I love everything about John! I hate being away from him, especialy after we''ve spent time together and everything was great... *sigh*

Together since September for a whole three weeks total of face time? Geez John, took you long enough to pop the question! You afraid of commitment buddy?

nice to see a success story in the mail-order bride business...

What happened to Killcreek?

HA! I love it!

Okay. Why do I care if this loser gets married?

I feel like I''ve stumbled onto one of my wife''s gossip magazines!

I don''t begrudge the guy anything, but I get the feeling that this isn''t going to end well for John... Good luck to him, though.

Sooooooooooo....I guess he made her his Female Doggo? *ducks*

I rather reckon the real question is...does she suck it down?

Point, I guess. But it''s Romero! He''s been the one gaming loves to ridicule the most for years, and just when you thougt the horse was as dead as could be, he goes and does something ridiculous again. The world must know!

My thoughts exactly. Anyone know the answer?

From Microsoft''s Women in Gaming piece:

Stevie ""KillCreek"" Case is a life-long gamer turned creator; a rare female expert in the male dominated world of video games. Once best known for beating John Romero, co-creator of Doom and Quake, in a one-on-one virtual deathmatch, Stevie has put her gaming skills and genius-level IQ to work as a professional Cyberathlete, writer, game creator and designer, television personality, and accomplished business woman. In recent years Stevie co-founded a new video game development studio with a focus on creating interactive entertainment for wireless and handheld devices. She has most recently relocated to Los Angeles to pursue new opportunities in interactive entertainment. Concurrent to her work as a game creator, Stevie has gained extensive experience as one of the video game industry''s rare media icons. Known by titles ranging from the Queen of Quake to the Gaming Goddess, Rolling Stone featured her in October 2000 on the cover of the Net Book technology section, calling her the ""The Perfect E-Babe.""

This entire thread needs the Laziest Men on Mars - Superfly Johnson Porn Remix playing in the background.

The creepy part is he started talking to her over the internet when she was 15. 15.

In the states that''s how you get jail time, apparently pedophiles should learn the languages of Eastern Europe...

You mean this KillCreek?

stevana.com, Killcreek''s website seems to be down...

Damn. So he was just waiting for her to turn legal age. Mmmh. Well, nothing really wrong with that. I just thought he''d marry Killcreek. I guess love loses once again.

Wasn''t see in Playboy once? I think she became far more recognizable from her looks then from her career.

Oops, you misspelled ""tits"". Spell-checker?

I''m still waiting for John Romero to kick my ass.

Isn''t that on the east side of town?

Just wanting to make sure before I click on this, is that link safe for work?

Call me a cynic but I see a divorce case showing up in five years..once her citizenship is finalized of course.

Yes, quite safe, unfortunately.

Haha, ok...just wanted to make sure, every time I see the word ""girl"" in a URL I get worried, and coupled with ""cali"" it made me worry even more.

Whats really scary is that his new wife is only 3-4 years older then his oldest son...

Yea, so does anyone think Romero''s son is gonna try to do his new step-mom and her Eurotrash friends?

Yea, so does anything thing Romero''s son is gonna try to do his new step-mom and her Eurotrash friends?

Hey Elysium, I sense that next big thing in computer gaming you were looking for...

I had absoloutley NO IDEA there was a planet Romero!!!

Thats frightening. does he run it himself? I didnt have to click on endless amounts of insects and frogs, ala Daikatana, on the website so i''m guessing not

Yeah, I''ve got that extra/inside edition/ET ""why should I care about this"" feeling reading this thread.

What''s next for this guy: moving in next to Roman Polanski? Or Leasing Neverland?

You care. Don''t deny. How can one ignore the tidal pull that is The Romero?

Damn straight, I even checked out his Lambo auction on ebay, everyone loves the trainwreck
