NASA Mars probe to land (hopefully) at 11:30 PM EST

From CNN

Well, given that two out of three Mars missions fail, NASA has got to be nervous about this one, seeing how they're trying to top the 1997 mission.

It made it! Take that, Europe!

and you too, South America!

Er, ouch?

Now they''re getting the tone from the surface, so it''s a-okay.

I''ll be sure to make sure that the probe is okay on my next trip to Mars. I''ll only be there a few hours, so I can''t make any promises.

WAH! There is a CITY ! ON MARS! LOOK AT THE PHOTO! They have spires and farms!

Good to see this one didn''t crater like the other lander some years back.

I don''t see anything special on there.

The secret is out!

Er, ouch?

Sorry, Mex. It was the first continent that came to mind.[/quote]

Quick! Somebody call an ambulance or Stan will lose his legs!

Maybe the Mars probe will finally find that dreaded place where all the lost things are. Don''t you ever think what happens to all the stuff you lose track of? Those damn pens you keep losing at the office (besides that secretary stealing them from you)? Or that screw you lost after opening your PC? They HAVE to be somewhere. Science, enlighten us!

Thats classic Spunior!

Now all we need is a variant of that ""Badgers, badgers, badgers..."" flash animation.

Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley... Martian, Martian!
Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley, Stanley... Martian, Martian!

Seriously, Spunior, that was genius. I want to print that out and hang it on my wall. Unfortunately Elysia says the guest room isn''t a good place for such an image. What a buzz kill.

The Mars Probe had better not steal his ruby slippers, we paid good money for those. Oh what a world, what a world.

Anyone watch the making of the rover on Nova?
