Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean criticized the Bush administration Monday for what he called a "callous" refusal to press Congress for another extension of unemployment benefits.
So Dean's big issues so far are opposing a war that a majority of Americans support, raising taxes on all Americans who pay them, and now he wants to attack the administration on umeployment policy as umemployment is falling.
Remind me to never go to the track with this guy.
PS - By the way:
"I think it's a pretty big issue," Dean said. "It underlines the mean-spiritedness of this administration."
Once you start name calling, you've lost the debate. No one ever got elected by telling us how "mean-spirited" the other guy was. You have to have your own positive message.
