I''m not sure this is a game that I want to buy an expansion for. To the extent I want to play it, I can always find an interesting civilization to play in the original game. The expansion will not change the fact that pretty much every (single-player) game ends up the same, with Stealth bombers and nuclear missiles paving the way for a horde of infantry.
I dunno, I think the addition of governing bodies and some actual scenarios might be rather interesting. If you don''t like the stealth bombers and nukes, just play Conquer the World, you can''t get that kind of technology till near the end of the campaign anyway.
I didn''t like Conquer the World because the computer was unable to counter a rush attack once I had a bonus army or two. Maybe if I jacked up the difficulty.

Yes do so. The AI is actually quite good on the harder difficulties.
Did they ever fix all the bugs in the game? I got it the week it came out and couldn''t get it to play. Something about the intro movie causing the game to freeze. There was some goofy fix you could do to bypass the intro, which worked, but that in turn screwed the sound for me.
Ended up feeling like it was more work than it was worth to keep it so I took it back
I did play the heck out of it on a friends machine and thought it was a pretty cool game. Just wish it had worked for me.

I think instead of Rise Of Nations: Throne and Patriots (aka RON TAP)they should call it
Rise of Nations: Junta Emerges Readily Enough from My Yard (aka RON JEREMY)
