Sword of Mana GBA remake?

Is this a remake or an entirely new game along the same lines?

please...please not a remake

I''m almost positive it''s an entirely new game. I''m very excited!

It is a remix (not a remake) of the original Seiken Densetsu game, originally released on the Game Boy (in America, it was known as Final Fantasy Adventure).

Frankly, the original was and still is one of my favorite games. It successfully blended the styles of Zelda and Final Fantasy/Dragon Warrior into an Adventure RPG.

Everything I''ve seen indicates that the remix is even better than the original. The story is being fleshed out more, the art and level design appears to be completely overhauled, I''m sure the music is being upgraded, and there will even be two characters to choose from this time instead of just the one.

Now, if they let you name the hero yourself as in the original, I''ll be happy.

Seriously, don''t let the fact that it''s a remake/remix deter you; the original game was fabulous and was only held back by technological limits. Having it updated to meet its potential is a good thing. I plan to buy it at release.

Final Fantasy Adventure was one of my favorite GB games...

You have full control to name your characters, there isn''t a default name for them however.

That''s cool with me; the original was like that as well.

I wonder if Demosthenes will fit into the input...

Uhh nope, 6 character limit sorry.
