Armed and Dangerous goes Gold

I just saw that Armed and Dangerous went gold, but I can't find minimum system specs for it anywhere (PC version, that is). Anyone have a link to that? I rummaged through the LucasArts website, but didn't have any luck.

The system requirements seem to be a great mystery, yes.

Anyway, there''s a new promo out. It''s one of the cutscenes from the game, and pretty damn funny.

This is one of my must-have games.

Let us also not ignore the sweet pre-order deal for Armed and Dangerous: A CD containing a WinXP-compatible version of the venerable, hilarious ''Sam & Max Hit the Road'', as well as a trailer for the forthcoming ''Sam & Max: Freelance Police"" game + some other miscellaneous making-of-type stuff.

Strangely, it''s apparently promised for the XBox also... not sure how Sam & Max is supposed to work there...

I heard this game is very, very good. Been reading about it on rage3d. It really has my interest after playing the hell out of the Silent Storm demo. (I know they are different types of games but both require more thinking than say MOH or CoD).

I already preordered. I have no doubt the creators of Giants won''t let me down. I had so much fun with that game.
Thread hijack: I wonder why there are so few games that have you sit in front of your monitor/TV and you can''t play further because you have to laugh so hard or just spilled your coke on the keyboard because of a hilarious cutscene/level/VO.
Voodoo Vince got me laughing quite often, but Giants had me rolling on the floor. But thats all I can remember for the last years. Any suggestions for other weird and hilarious games?

I regularly would yell for my wife to come watch the funny crap going on in Black and White. Sometimes literally funny crap. Maybe I''m the only one who was fond of the three guys who wanted you to build them a boat? Maybe you''re mad at me now if I just put that song into your head, ""Oh we''re not going...""

Straight from the horses mouth:

2 CDs
Pentium III 733Mhz or better
128MB RAM
1.5 Gig hard drive space
8X CD-ROM
GeForce 256 or better video card. We require a video card with
Hardware T&L.
DirectX 8 compatible sound card

Hmm Why do I get the feeling this is going to be more of a rehash of the Giants formula than an original title.

Minus the Giants of course...erm and the base building... oh and the grinning meccs ... the lovely sea reapers as well.... Its a different game isn''t it?

Well I''ll be happier if they hire the excellent Rob Paulsen (Timmy, Zzxyx, Var. Infinity titles and of course Butt Ugly Martians) to do some VO work. Classy.

I can already tell from the trailers that they are using the same actors who did the Mecc voices.

I''m Sure we''re in for a SP treat.

From reading some posts on the Planetmoon message board it sounds like the game is a long version of the Meccs missions. Considering that was my favorite part of Giants (although I liked the whole game), I''m looking forward to it! What I was really thrilled about was the fact that my PC isn''t the listed minimum requirement! KotOR, HotU.... pretty much every PC game coming out in December has my processor speed (or higher) listed as the minimum. I just knew this one was going to be 1.2 GHz or something.
