How Come Noone Mentioned ToEE Going Gold?

Are we so jaded on the disappointment that was Lionheart?

This ones turn based...

No turbo wolves in here.

The one''s interested are already waiting in line in front of the stores. You better join us to get a copy, after all its a Greyhawk campaign...

Oooo Goodie, hope this dosn''t bite, I worry that my expectations are to hight and will invariable be bummed.

Well Fang, I was hoping to keep it quiet so the game would be mine and no one else''s but then you had to go and blab to everyone.

Thanks, jerk.

Thanks, jerk.

But... I, er... well? Aw shucks!

*hangs head and walks away*

Pardon my ignorance, but what does the acronym ToEE mean?

Temple of Elemental Evil

its a conversion of a Greyhawk D&D module to the computer by Troika (ex Fallout guys and makers of Arcanum).

I am definately going to check this out, Fallout was of course awesome and I also enjoyed Arcanum quite a bit. But I am sure some of you will boycott this game considering the general buginess of Fallout and Arcanum and many board members feelings of apathy toward the release then patch methodology so prevalent in PC games these days.

Actually Fallout wasn''t really buggy if I remember, Fallout 2 was the one with major problems. Maybe I didn''t pickup Fallout until it had been patched a few times though.

*edit* also, you can''t seriously tell me that Fallout 2''s patches making all your save games invalid didn''t piss you off

The first release of Fallout definitely was quite buggy. I ran across a number of notable logical bugs while playing the game. Usually resulting n NPCs not being up-to-date about the quest status and similar/related issues. Really enjoyed Fallout nonetheless.

can''t wait for this one.. I need my D&D CRPG fix...

I hope its good..granted I much prefer this type of game in the winter...

I''ll wait for the GwJ review.

If I wanted your opinion I''d hire you and then tell you what it is Ulairi

You all and yer acronyms. This game getting released now *is* truly evil. I''ve played through the AD&D modules back in college and...now i''m in college again with no damn time to play it on a computer. Sigh. I suppose it''s single player only?

p.s. by time I got fallout2 it was an old game that was alot of fun (once patched and all).

Ooo I hope not, I wa hoping to play this one coop with some friends. Anyone know the skinny on multi player?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news: In the chat I read the other day, the developer said ""No multiplayer at all"". That makes sense, since it''s basically Arcanum++, and adding multiplay to an engine w/o multiplay built in would be extremely difficult.

Your reasoning makes perfect sense, except for the fact that Arcanum had multiplayer

D''oh! Only played the demo for Aracanum, which didn''t (I *think*) have multiplayer. Sorry bout ''dat!

Still, he really did say that there was no multiplayer in ToEE. Really!
