Go Skins!

Woot tonights the night! I cant wait to see my Skins pummel the Jets!

Time to get down n dirty with the Hogs!

Who are the Skins running as QB this season?

danny... er um... shane.. er um... oh yeah... Patrick Ramsey! =P

Well I guess the would-be-backup-on-any-other-team QB vs the backup QB is a fair matchup.

But the J-E-T-S Jets actually have a running back...

J-E-T-S, like thats so hard to spell it needs to be enunciated!

Ooh! Lets start an English major-speak football trash talking thread!

Your city''s mascotted louts could not attain enough sequential measurements of grass to manufacture one quarter of a skirt for an inebriated Don Ho follower!

Too many syllables......head......hurts....

News Flash: Due to recent lawsuits by Native Americans, the Washingon Redskins have agreed to settle for an undisclosed amount of money and change their name to the Washington Tampons.

When pressed why, press officials noted that tampons have no second string and only last for one period.

Ba dum Ching!

Ramsey''s tearing it up. Will it last?

If Coles keeps catching them, I think so! The Jets have a decent defense, the Skins have a good O-line. But I think the Jets will end up winning.

Ramsey looked fantastic, aside from a few rough plays.

And Bosephus, that''s the worst joke I''ve ever laughed at.

I laughed at it too. I am thoroughly astonished that the Skins pulled it off. They usually try their damdest to lose in the second half, but this time they actually just played flat and eeked out a win. Way to go! No matter, the Broncos will own! That, or my many beers tell me that''s the case.

Man, Coles seems much improved and his 106 yards (basically in the first half) were great. Too bad his second half wasn''t as productive. Anyway, he got me 10pts which is ok with me.

Well, this was a ''payback'' game for Coles, which is why I found his production in the second half very interesting. It''ll be notable to see what he does when it''s just a regular season game, and not a matter of pride.

Well, everyone likes to knock him but that is ok because I know he is good. The problem is Spurrier, he will mess up a good thing before it is over with.

Well if they don''t throw him the ball, he can''t do much in the second half. A good first half by the Skins, but if they are going to play their second halves that way they are going to lose to the better teams of the league.

Exactly. Maybe I was not paying attention or seeing the schemes the Jets were running but I think if they would have thrown the ball to Coles a few more times in the second half he would have had 150+ yards.

I really like that live stats traker at yahoo. I just wish I would have been able to put my other draft onto yahoo. It unfortunatly just doesn''t have the stats I need to track.

Pretty decent game to start off with, and a good storyline behind it. The former Jets performed well, and Ramsey looks like he''s won the starter''s job for at least another week. Britney looked hot, as well :D. Oh, and Lisa Guerrero, don''t think I didn''t notice you. Not enough footage of the ''ol ball coach abusing his visor, though.

However... Is anyone else just getting sick of the showboating that goes on? I mean, a guy catches a 6 yd pass on first down and pops up, hopping around like he just won the Super Bowl or something. I digress.

What about that Betts guy? He was tearing it up on the ground. Oh wait they stopped him once and he got a little over 2 yards... He was cranking out the 5-7 yarders.

Yeah, I thought he looked orders of magnitude better than Trung Canidate. Betts was running downhill and gaining yards, while Canidate would step back and forth until the hole closed up. Betts should be the featured back.

I agree, which is why I picked him up off waivers.

Coles made some key catches, a 20 yarder on 3rd and 15, the 30+ yarder when Ramsey showed some great poise and ducked under the rush. Ramsey had a nice key ~15 yard scramble too. It looks like the relationship between Ramsey and Coles will blossom with some nods to the big tight end. Throw in some Betts and who knows...

The defense gave up some big plays but made a few very key stands. One important stand was when they held on 2nd and 1, and made the Jets punt. A Jets fan said Arrington looked like shades of LT on that weakside tackle for a loss on 3rd and 1. The safety made some nice deflections on a couple of deep routes. Of course he also had a late hit 15 yard penalty on the first series =(

I agree Wineglass, the celebrations are pathetic.

I wish everyone acted like Barry Sanders used to. He would juke 3 guys out of their jock straps, sprint 60 yards and score and then just flip the ball to the ref and solemnly walk back to the sideline. He would then only high-five someone if they did it first. He acted like he had been there before and had class. I think he was bored

Every jackass in the league now celebrates. I hate when I see my x-Vols do it too. I''m like ""hey, dumbass, you made a tackle....you been doing it since you was 2"" f*cktards.

I have to disagree about Lisa Guerrero, Melissa Stark was an order of magnitude better. Every time Lisa was on camera she looked like she hadn''t slept in three days.

I noticed that too LG. Not that she isnt really pretty. She did look tired.

Anyone got any impressions of the halftime round table with representatives of the different networks? The bar was noisy. I couldnt hear anything throughout the game. Madden, Michaels, nothing.

I rarely watch the halftime stuff and I totally skipped the pregame. When I can I let Tivo build-up about 30 minutes in advance so I can just fast forward through the commercials and halftime, works pretty well.

That depends on whether Jake the Snake is really any good, and he sure didn''t do much in Arizona. Of course, the rest of the Cardinals team sucks so hard that he didn''t get much of a chance. One of the worst things about living in Arizona is that we''re always stuck with the damn Cardinals games on TV. Pathetic.

Lisa also hasn''t got half the brains of M. Stark so far. What the hell is she doing asking Patrick Ramsey about his ''former'' teamate Coles. Perhaps she should have a good idea of who is on which team. It may be first night jitters, but it made her look like a ''bimbo vixen''. Say what you want, but Melissa Stark knows her sh*t.

Hey, don''t get me wrong, I loved Melissa Stark, too. But, you''ve got to work with the cards you''re dealt.

Well, I''m a Seahawks fan out here, and I think they are going to have a tough time of it in the NFC West with the Rams and 49ers to content with. How they closed up last season, with Hasselback playing really well and the offense scoring points was encouraging, but I think they''ll miss the playoffs... again. I do like the new uniforms, thoughs.

Actually, I think the phrase should be changed to:

Cloke and others living in Arizona have got to work with the Cards they''ve been dealt.

Hyuck, hyuck, hyuck!
