Arnie for Gov.!

He''ll take his mallet to the system!

I can see a campaign slogan in the works... Also:

""Vote for me if you want to live"" - Arnold

""I just think the voters want to see a little more c**t"" - Larry Flynt

""What you talkin'' about, Grey?"" - Gary Coleman
or
""Vote for me, the other Arnold..."" - Gary Coleman

Any others, gang?

He''s moderate on abortion, gay rights and civil liberties - which I think is a good thing.

But every time I hear an attempt to put a movie quote in context of his campaign, something in me dies. I guess it''s inevitable. And with a relatively short time to campaign, you can''t really blame him for using his trademark lines.

Interesting Tidbit. When I was in the 2nd grade Arnold came to my school to award the people who got the Presidental Fitness award. I got one but I was home sick that day.

I remember getting one of those awards from Arnold as well. Yes, he really IS that big - unlike Stallone, who is kind of a midget. And on the ''his father was a nazi'' subject, I present this tidbit:

"" I REMEMBER THE POLICE coming and taking him away. That was a pretty spooky deal."" Bill Clinton was less than six when his drunken stepfather was arrested for firing a gun during a marital quarrel.""

Clintons biological father died 3 months before he was born, so his stepfather, for all purposes, was the man who influenced his life. I don''t recall any conservatives, even the most partisan lib-haters of the day, suggesting that Clinton was a bad candidate because of his fathers behavior.

All I can say is, I hope he wins. New Arnold quotes are never a bad thing.

The only thing that would prevent me from voting for Arnie is that we had bad experience with Austrian politicians already ;).

CNN Poll Fun

[LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Republican candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger has the attention of Californians, who, according to a poll released Sunday, think he should be taken seriously as a candidate for governor.

He leads the long list of hopefuls, with 42 percent of poll respondents saying there is a good chance they would vote for him. To win -- if voters agree to recall Democratic Gov. Gray Davis -- a candidate needs only a plurality of votes.

Seventy-three percent of those polled said they regard Schwarzenegger''s candidacy seriously, and 23 percent said they did not.

Sunday''s poll was conducted by CNN, USA Today and Gallup, and included interviews with 801 registered voters from August 7-10. It has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4 percentage points.

Because of the nature of the unprecedented recall election, the poll does not project a winner or predict how people might vote.

The people of California deserve Arnold Schwarzenegger. They definitely deserve Gary Coleman. Hell, they might even deserve Gray Davis.

But they don''t deserve Larry Flynt. He''s far too good for them.

Well, it made me laugh anyway.

I weep for California... everyone''s just going to laugh at us now... Gray Davis, Ahnold, Gary freakin Coleman, Ghalager, Flynt AND a porn star.

hmm.. you''ve probably been laughing for a while now huh?

In the unlikely event that Arnold doesn''t win the recall election, I''ve already written his speech....

""I''ll be back!""

And then he rams a truck through the state Capitol.

Arnold doesn''t take no for an answer!
