GameSpy does Battlefield Vietnam

From GameSpy (duh!)

At the time, we'd wondered what it would be like if the game had a complete soundtrack, and that's exactly what's happening with BF Vietnam -- except the soundtrack will probably consist of at least 20 licensed tunes tied in various ways to the late 1960's and the conflict in Vietnam. The list hasn't been finalized yet, but in one sequence, CCR's "Fortunate Son" was blasting away, and there's a good chance you'll hear Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" blasting out of some of the choppers, recreating the famous scene from Apocalypse Now. The music won't be just for show, either -- the game's producers tell us the music will get louder as choppers approach, and it's possible that you'll be able to hear different songs overlapping each other coming from different directions.

I just hope they get Barber''s Adagio for Strings, ala Platoon.

I''ll be curious to see if they can pull this off. Music licenses can be pretty damn expensive...

But remember, it''s Electronic Arts we''re talking about; they can really throw the bling-bling around.

This is great news, time to pre-order.
