Dove of Peace just got shot

Go ahead and turn this around, making it Israel's fault. I dare you.

Let''s see, they and the US force Arafat to create the prime minister position which ultimately has no power of the Palestinians, then they start to go around the recognized leader of the Palestinians in the peace process. It''d be like Europe negotiating treaties and the like with Al Gore rather than George Bush.

This is bad. Im not blaming anyone, but Palestine is f*cked if they can''t get this under control.

Arafat walked away from the peace process 2 years ago? Can''t remember the time, but he walked away. He also has strong ties to terrorism, has done nothing to control it. Abbas now has to deal with ''tards willing to fight themselves rather then give any sort of peace a chance.

Bitching that Israel put in a puppet government just makes you look silly.

But kudos for trying to step up to the plate just b/c you could.

I''m with Pyro. My sympathies are with both the Israeli and Palestinian civilians who are suffering through this.

The fact remains that in the eyes of the Palestinians, Abbas is nothing more than a show pony and not bringing Arafat to the table is a slap to their faces. This won''t bring the parties anywhere near peace, and may end up costing Sharon his job or God forbid his life by a bullet from a disgruntle Jewish settler.
