Hangover Cures

On the day after St Patricks day, just wondering what everybodys hang over cures are?

It won''t do you much good now but I find guzzling water before falling into bed (or that puddle on the sidewalk) is the best way to prevent a hangover.

I don''t really get them thanks to that little trick so I''m not sure what you can do after the fact. I find curling up into a little ball and crying helps in most situations.

Sleep...lots of sleep...

Certis has it right; hangovers are symptomatic of a dehydrated body caused by mass consumption of alcohol. Re-hydrating throughout the evening can prevent the worst symptoms of a hangover.

Working on St Patricks day therefore being unable to consume any alcohol and being V.Unhappy helps!
Oh well have to make up for it at the weekend!
Binge drinking... Its good for you!

I feel getting a friend to smack you across the head with a 2x4 does the trick, you''re to busy feeling the hit to worry about the hang over or if you''re lucky you get nocked unconcious and don''t wake up for several days due to head injury

Seriously though either don''t drink or have water in between drinks. Unfortunatly even water won''t help that much if you are drinking heavy because the alcohol will dehydrate you faster than you can rehydrate.

Of course there is always the option to start drinking again when you wake up.

Water good,

but if you forget to do that (as I always do), then the next day eat greasy fast food, drink caffeine, and/or gatorade. the grease balances out the pH in your stomach (says some random scientician), the caffeine constricts the blood vessels in your brain (reduces headache), and the gatorade has a ton of sugar to get your blood sugar levels up again. Oh, and it has water in it too.

Water. Not just before bed, but throughout the night try and slip in a glass of water for every couple of drinks, and you''ll be a much happier lad in the morning. But when you just go to far, I''ve found by a whole hell of a lot of trial and error, that a Dramamine and an glass of Alka-Seltzer along with sleep will work wonders!

Aspirine before I go to bed and the next morning (if you can 12 o''clock that) a soup that does it for me. Dry bread helps, too so my stomach does not rumble anymore

My roommate in college used to smoke the wacky tobacco for a hangover cure. He would look like death, take a couple of puffs and then it was like Magic...the hangover was gone.

Talk about medicinal uses.

Ye olde southern arizona/northern mexico (at least the Sonoran area)''s cure...
