Bush and Blair pushing Palestine/Israel peace plan

http://www.spiegel.de/politik/auslan...

sorry I could not find an appropriate english link on "we have the most links on our frontpage" CNN.

It is basically saying that Bush announced to turn the plan of the US/EU into reality to stabilize the Israel/palestine conflict and bring peace to the region. If he is really true about this and manages to pull it off, he'd gain a lot of respect back for me. I have concerns though that this might just get ignored by both nations while there is the Iraq conflict.

EDIT: I found the link:

I think after a war in Iraq well have a better chance at peace. We had our best chance before after the last gulf war.

Here''s some food for thought:

Saddam Hussein''s regime funds Palestinian terrorism.

Palestinian terrorism derailed the previous peace effort.

Eliminate the primary funders of terror, you eliminate a lot of the terror, thus opening the way for peace.

You know, many conservatives get accused of being anti-semites for saying that this war will help Israel emmensely, but the elmination of a key source of terrorism in the region will benifit both the Israelis and the Palestinians.
