Anno 2070 is probably the best of the series so far. They've made some little interface tweaks that make it really easy to figure out what you need to build to get what good.

It's got the Ubi always on DRM, which is annoying, though.

I really want Anno 2070, but its just too damn expensive - even on the steam sale it was like £15. I loved 1404 and want to play Anno again.

Speaking of pronunciation: AznDanger is pronounced "Asian Danger".

Gwei prairie boy.

This conference call makes me want to fund a GWJ crew must play Dwarf Fortress donation at the next Donation Drive

I don't think that's a game...

(Also, huzzah!)

It's an app on the Vita, but I assume they were talking about Nier, despite both activities being similarly incomprehensible.

"will always be online" "invasive DRM" "come to terms with that"

BURN THE HERETIC!

WITH FIRE!

I got beat to correcting your schoolboy Latin on Sine Mora, so I won't do more than Nth Tangle's first post. The meaning of the name ("without delay") is related to the "time thing" Cory was talking about, from what I understand. Time is the currency of the game instead of health points.

Nier notes - Kainé is a hermaphrodite, but it's not explicit in the game. She's also being possessed by a male demon at times which confuses the issues even farther. And you need to go through the game 3 times to really finish it.

Towns = Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress have a slighly short-bus child? Sim game - have you guys heard about Toilet Tycoon?

Games coming up

Space Hulk - Is this a boardgame translation to electronic like Ticket to Ride, or are they turning it into something else?

StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm - So is StarCraft II a whole game, finally? I mean, are all three races out? I wrote them off when they split the game into pieces and their online identity woes. But once it's finally all out I might give it a second look.

Creepy co-op in Dead Space - have you played with some of our gang? I don't think quiet is going to happen.

Ni No Kuni - I'm already on it. How JRPG is this going to be? Very, I'm afraid. With the developer and the publisher that's a given. And the story is a Miyazaki film. Literally. He wrote it, and they had Joe Hishiashi do the score to give it an even stronger link. That's where that sense of youth comes from. But if you've seen them, even in his most innocent stories there's always a little something else under there.

Injustice - I wouldn't fry you for it, Cory! I saw the art at PAX and though that's the first time I've ever see anyone manage to make the Flash look sort of cool.

Revengeance - I have to do this. I'm not proud of it, but I've been Kojima's abject slave for too long to give up now.

Emails

Watching vs/Playing - I enjoy watching people play games. With all the kids and one TV, watching is a way to share in the experience. Especially story-based stuff. Being watched is not a problem for me; I welcome the interaction and by-play.

Response to Girl Gamer - Yes, you are only helping her, but sometimes that's all you can do. And as someone who has been through this myself, I can say that just finding that there is any help at all out there is sometimes a great deal of help in and of itself. And I'd like to echo the invitation - I would never have been brave enough to go out and try for myself again if it wasn't for this community.

Was the early 'swaddling' joke a reference to MBMBAM? I got shivers down my spine when Shawn said that to Cory. Bad shivers.

No, it's not "complete" after HoS. That would be after "Legacy of the Void" which is probably a 2014/2015 release at this rate. Only then will all 3 races have their own campaign. However, you can still play skirmish/multiplayer with any race you want.

There's always a possibility I'm under the influence of MBMBAM. Even subconsciously.

Thank you. It's not like I don't have anything else to do in the meantime.

No one mentioned it in the looking forward section, but it looks like Battle Block Theater might come out in 20-Dirt.
