Oh man, David said something I have been wanting to hear from him for a long time and that was basically saying he was sometimes acting too self-important on a podcast. David killed that 1UP podcast for me because I couldn't take the talking over people. Glad to see people grow up.

As for the "talking over" --

Thanks. I might have projected a bit. I tend to interrupt quite a bit when I'm engaged in a conversation. I never really noticed I do that (a lot) until someone pointed it out and I became extremely self aware and aware when others interrupt as well.

I don't know, the discussion with David closely resembles off mic discussions we have with a great many game developers sitting at a bar.

So we should start another $500 USD thread to get to hear this. Where do I sign!?

One thing that I just wanted to point out from Rabbit's Halo 4 rant - Rabbit kept pointing out that his son saw all the twists and game mechanics coming. Rabbit did not say that he had those same observations. Maybe the little rabbit is a little more observant than the big rabbit? ;)

Rabbit's son is amazing. True fact.

I find my kids are much smarter than I am at a gut level. They don't beat me in ASL yet, but that's just patience, not brains or intuition.

I loved the first game you finished question, I was also glad SMB2 was one of them mentioned. For the exact same reasons SMB2 was my first, SMB was too hard! I remember little Soulmotor feeling the sense of accomplishment as I never completed a game up to then. Then again I still get that feeling when actually finishing a game.
