Ok, I think you guys just sold me a copy of Dragon's Dogma.

Good things about SotSE and Gravity Rush in the same episode. Two of my favorite things.

I really should look into Dragons Dogma, but I just don't have enough time to pile on another large game.

A bit late on getting around to this episode. On the topic of microtransactions influencing designs, why wasn't there any discussion of iOS gaming? A large number of the games I have on my iPhone/iPad use RMT services to allow people to progress at a fast rate through the game in exchange for a couple of bucks.

There's a line connecting the Diablo III real money auction house with its Starcraft II competition strategy: both are attempts to go beyond the sticker price of the game to capture the wealth created by secondary activity among users.

It's not just Blizzard. Look at the success Valve has with selling user generated content in TF2 and (just recently) Dota 2.
