Talk dirty to me.
How did I live before digital distribution of old, cheap games?

No mention to Red Orchestra 2?
Hasbro may have bought the name Avalon Hill 10 years ago but to borrow a phrase, I knew Avalon Hill. It was a friend of Mine. You sir are no Avalon Hill.
Can I ask a question? What is it about Battlefield 3 that makes it all drool-worthy, while Modern Warfare 3 is all "meh, I think I'll skip this one"?
I only ask because, speaking as someone who historically has little interest in realistic-ish military-style murder simulators, they sort of look like the same game to me. I realize that this speaks as much to my own personal ignorance of the genre as anything inherent in the games themselves, which is why I'm curious. Is it because Battlefield 3 is supposed to be more PC-centric while the Modern Warfare series has gone all console-y? Fair enough if so.
I guess what I'm really asking is, given my personal lack of interest in the genre in general, is Battlefield 3 looking to be such an outstanding example of it that I should be paying attention to it anyway? Or can (should?) I continue on in blissful ignorance of such things?

Multiplayer. CoD is the twitchiest of twitchy shooters. And the formula has been repeated every year for the past 5 or so. We're bored of it.
Battlefield has had the Bad Company games, but they were like smaller versions of Battlefield. Battlefield is about larger maps with vehicles ranging from tanks and jeeps to helicopters and jets. It's a different experience as teamwork is important (not essential, like in Arma). Considering how good the mp is in BFBC2, we're all hoping (and assuming) that Battlefield 3 will be even better. And yeah, the bigger maps tend to be a pc thing.

It brought a smile to my face to hear Mr. Sands back on the CC. Glad to hear you are doing well, Sean!

Great podcast, as usual! Way too many games to play this year! My wallet won't know what hit it. Maybe I can convince the kids that, due to tough economic times, Santa is now only coming every other year?
Any chance you can post your list on here, Sean? I want to use it as my pre-order guide. Great to have you back!
PS: Curse you gamestop for being the one with my Space Wolf armor pre-order bonus!

Diablo 3? Not Likely
The thing about smart people is they seem like crazy people to dumb people -- Thing I saw on the Internet

Elysium, I'm surprised you didn't include any of the other big 3DS games (Star Fox 3D, Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3D Land, MarioKart, etc.) I don't mean this as a criticism, but given that and that you left the system off the week ahead: the 3DS just isn't on your radar at all, is it?
Professionally offended. Does not understand jokes. Needs a man to explain them to me.
Well, this list in particular wasn't really meant for public consumption. It was just a list of games on my radar -- I was leaving it to someone else to take an interest in the 3DS.
It's just that no one did.

Fair enough. Given Certis' and Demiurge's impressions of the 3DS, I'd say that's not entirely surprising.

"I haven't read Twilight, so I wouldn't know." That's how you call out all the non-16-year-old-girls in the room.
The fun part about this podcast is listening to grown men and women talk about video games much the way we used to when we were eight years old. Because really, isn't that why we play these things?
"Maybe there's a little bit of domination going on." Wait, what?
Good for Sean for not tumbling out of his chair at any point during the recording, despite how funny that would have been.
