Looks like Rabbit forgot about digging up the link to the "don't look people in the eye" game.

I think this is it.

Damn, now I have to decide whether I continue reading the Godfather, or listen to GWJ-er goodness..

There is a problem with the goodbye tune on the podcast (it sounds 3 minutes before it should)

The 12 days of christmas was awesome, can we have the name of the voices?

Also Feliz Navidad to all.

Dammit, Jonathan fixed that and I re-uploaded, but it must not have worked. Fixing now!

Pac-Man CE DX is a great game. Also I hit the top 100 on a couple of time attack maps. That was nice too as I am rarely very skilled at games.

Ok, fixed.

For some reason, my iPhone starts newly-downloaded podcasts somewhere in the middle of the show instead of at the beginning. The first thing I heard this morning on my drive to work was Rabbit saying "the Doritos game". I knew it was going to be a good show.

Mine does that too! What happens is if you quit one podcast half way through and go to listen to something else, it starts the new show at that same time marker. Very odd.

...which means he is turning off the podcast halfway through it! Busted!

Where can we download the 12 days of Christmas song!?!?

I was yelling "Ultima!" in my car at the New Developer/Old Franchise point, so it was really gratifying to hear that from you guys, too.

Okay, time to inundate the CC email address before the year ends. Let's drive Certis crazy!!!

I watched the original TRON last night (for the first time in 10 years or so), and even with the Rifftrax, it was pretty awful.

That might be it. I stopped another podcast to start GWJ.

Bethesda making a new King's Quest game? I can see Sean's connection between Bethesda and Ultima, but what does a developer known for open-world RPGs have to say about a classic adventure game series? The most likely turn of events would be for Bethesda to take the King's Quest name and develop something entirely unrelated to the original series.

As to my own new developer for established IP: I want to see Tale of Tales make a Silent Hill game.

Dungeon Defenders: First Wave seems to be $2.99 today

Crazy steal. So good.

Rabbit, have you played Monday Night Combat? Dungeon Defenders sounds like MNC, but with swords.

+1

For the most part, it is. The difference being that in DD your team only fights against AI, not other people like in MNC.

This hands-on preview has some good info.

Thanks for the 12 Days of Christmas guys!!! It had me crying I was laughing so hard...

You guys have brought many laughs to a kinda tough year for me. Really appreciate the quality podcast.

Merry Christmas.

I did both, and didn't get anywhere near enough sleep

My old boss Geoff and I were on a photo-shoot one afternoon when we realised that we needed a prop for a particular sequence. We ventured to a local shopping centre to buy one and, as we walked through the doors, Geoff looked at the vast throng of shoppers and said, in a voice filled with outrage and genuine disbelief, "Why aren't all these people at work!?"

I feel the same way about folks who don't finish games.

I enjoy multiple difficulty levels. To play through a game for a second time can feel redundant (although I often enjoy a second play through much more than the first.) Playing through on a higher difficulty level feels like a new challenge. If I like a game and higher difficulties are available I'll invariably work my way through them.

I've taken out the 10 day trial for WoW and I'm very impressed. There are so many changes for the better I'm wondering how I ever played the game in it's original form.

I always felt was that the combat was slow and laborious in WoW (It's difficult to balance for an encounter that might be being tacked by a single player or multiple players.) When soloing in the original game it seemed to take an inordinate length of time to kill every mob. Now I'm tearing 'yellow' mobs down in a few seconds and the combat is 'lighter' and much more fun. Also, I feel like I can plunge into a fight and cope with adds rather than skulking around looking for mobs that are definitely on their own while praying that I don't encounter any patrols (admittedly I'm not sure if the improved combat is down to gameplay tweeks or the fact that I'm now playing a hunter well as opposed to a priest badly.)

I also like how they foreshadow the end game in 'boss' encounters very early on and I like the variety and wackiness of the missions. It may still be chicken on my plate but I really like the new sauce and they way they've done the potatoes ;).

Rabbit, et al. What's your warrior cat name?

Mine is definitely Trout Leap.

No matter who is in the auxiliary camp (with the exception of Ken Levine), nothing beats the original configuration. Good show.

Trout Leap FTW, although Bramble Pelt is a close second.

My email was only from Aug 4th, so you guys weren't too far behind

And for those that don't listen to MBMBAM, you can catch up on the Cat Warrior Names and take your picks. (video is clean and SFW):

My favorites?

Night Fire
Shadow Rose
Lilly Moon
Frost Bite
