It's awesome Sephirotic is on the show! How did you manage to break your consoles?

No link to Blue Defense? :O

I was wondering if Todd would admit how he got that DSi.

Good catch ... for someone without opposable thumbs.

Why was the ad for Blue Defense repeated? It didn't bother me, but was the advertiser going for a Head On-style ad blitz?

The only L4D mod that ever caught my attention is the Randy Savage sound mod. Oh yeah, dig it!

They stitched their own in, that'll be fixed soon.

No problem. Do I get a cut of that sweet sweet advertising cash now? ;D

Pimp Vehicle of all time - Cadillacs in Interstate 76. It just felt awesome.

Hmmm. At what point in the show did you hear it again?

Timberwolf/Mad Cat. The only thing better than that was the Mad Cat II.

I'm not hearing it on the copy streaming from the site, but on my copy downloaded through iTunes, the ad plays twice at the beginning: the first is presumably the ad they created, and the second is the version read by Rob.

The extra ad has been yanked, unfortunately it will still be on for folks who already downloaded the file. Sorry!

Woot! X3 got a little love today.

My son thought it was pretty awesome too. He kept trying to break into the room where I was recording it. I am surprised you can't hear him banging on the door while I'm talking.

They broke over time. The network adapter for the Xbox just got slower and slower and eventually stopped being recognized. The PS3 blu-ray drive died when I implemented "Slimer mode" on the Ghostbusters bluray. I can still play downloadable stuff, just not disc based media. One day I'll actually get it repaired.

You should've ran with it; trick everyone into thinking an axe wielding maniac was trying to bust down your door.

"Heeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!"

FF3 for the DS was my first FF game in fact my first JRPG that I played a considerable amount of hours, although had seen other people play parts of other FF games never committed to one. And I have to say that for the most part I enjoyed the game, the grinding wasn't to bad, and the fact that is on portable system where I could suspend the game at any time is a key factor, I don't imagine playing a JRPG on a non portable system. Overall I think could get a sense of the appeal of an FF game and plan on playing others on the DS. But there is one thing that might be considered a SPOILER that I must talk about, the dungeons are the only place you can't save, although I did end up dying in the final boss in some of them, they weren't to long that i couldn't do it again. Except for the final boss it takes almost two hours to reach the final boss and with lots a difficult fighst in the middle, and you can only save in the beginning of the dungeon, about one hour in I realized what was going on, I ended up reaching the final boss on first try and of course dying. This is completely ridiculous and I can't imagine what kind of sadistic purpose the designers have. Of course this was the first and final attempt to finishing the game, if they had a save position at a reasonable location I would try several times to finish it, instead I went to youtube to see the final scene and put the game away. Probably this fact is no surprise to JRPG veterans but to me is a idiotic decision and poor ending for overall enjoyable game

My favourite vehicle: The subway in WOW. It really took my by surprise, and the underwater tube was a great touch...I always wanted to explore that tunnel.

I'd argue the Mad Cat was better than the Mark II. However, I'd also argue that a well-made Bushwacker in MW3 trumped all of them. Jump Jets, MASC, strong engine... the works....

*nostalgia's*

I just found that the final level in MW4 went a lot easier if you used the Mark II's Gauss rifles to headshot angry cousin what's-his-name's Daishi.

Worst level creation tool decision ever: City of Heroes.

What? You can't edit files on my computer?

Weak...

The ad says Blue Defense is $.99. The App Store has it for $1.99.

Is Final Fantasy 3 on the DS the actual Final Fantasy 3 or is it the State-side SNES Final Fantasy 3, i.e., Final Fantasy 6?

Actual 3. Never released in the US prior to the DS release.

Looks like it is. The info they gave us specifically says 99 cents. Maybe it was a typo.

I think a lot of people bought NWN and NWN2 SOLELY for the content creation tools. Unlike other games, NWN is D & D, and got a large part of its sales from P & P D & Ders who wanted to be able to create their own stuff. I play on a server (Solgrathia) where most of the players bought NWN2 just to play in Lanthar's world and haven't played the single player game included. We're in it for the DM-run coop experience in a well designed, well run campaign that emphasizes in-character role-playing.

That people bought it for the content creation tools is also evidenced by the sheer volume of NWN content that has been created over the years, some of it top-notch.
