Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Do you remember my wait for a proper jRPG to give our Game of the Week title to? Well, my geeky gamer potty-dance is over. I have a copy of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch burning a hole in my desk today. I've left the guide in its shrink-wrap, just so I don't commit a heinous grade of fiduciary misconduct here and start reading it during working hours. It takes the honors for this week.

However, there are a couple interesting honorable mentions if you're not up for sacrificing a couple work-weeks full of hours to playing a Miyazaki film:

Strike Suit Zero is a Kickstarter alumni that's finally ready to try its wings. Zoom through space in a transforming robot, dog-fighting your way through swarms of enemies. It's out on the PC now, and console versions are set for later in 2013.

Last week's winner, DmC: Devil May Cry, hits PC. This one's just as polarizing as its predecessors. If you liked the old mowing-the-digital-lawn style, they're distributing the original games as DLC. If you liked Enslaved or Infamous, this one might be up your alley in its own right.

The Cave was robbed!

Yay!

I'm sad that the Cave isn't cross-play on the Vita. I'll probably just grab it in an upcoming Steam Sale, anyhow.

Oh snap, The Cave is coming out tomorrow! Gotta play that sh*t! Love me some Ron Gilbert!

Ni No Kuni thread here

Strike Suit Zero is apparently $20. Unlocking on Steam tomorrow.

No mention of my birthday? Or Vrikk's?? OMG, GWJ, I thought we were friends!

This is the first week to be threatening to my pile. I cannot afford a game with long time investment like Ni No Kuni, but the Destructoid review has my interest piqued. Sadly, the review also has me pondering whether I should wait on it anyway. But even then, The Cave sounds really interesting and from what people have spoken of the new Devil May Cry I may actually enjoy it.

But I must save my cash, and hope that progress can be made on the pile.

Ni No Kuni is also on PSN. If you don't mind taking a pass on a physical copy (which are apparently in very short supply), scarcity shouldn't be an issue.

Ni No Kuni and The Cave (assuming it actually releases on time) for me this week

I just bought Strike Suit Zero, despite some mixed early reviews. I can't resist space shooters, and combined with Transformers? Yup.

Ni No Kuni is a definite, but not for a week or so.

Ni No Kuni is now added to my "if I ever get a PS3 list".

Almost bought The Cave, but I'll probably hold off until I've exhausted my time with Skyrim.

I was under the impression that The Cave was already out? I remember it hitting PS Plue a few months back.

This article has me wanting to go get Ni no Kuni off of the PSN store now. I've been interested in it for a while now. Though, my JRPG backlog is big enough as it is...

EDIT: oh shoot this article is really freaking old
Sorry for being so ignorant, guys! I'll try to be more observant next time.

A few months? Almost a year now. Spammer bumped the thread.
