May 3 - May 7

When I first heard the name Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman, my first thought was of copyright violations and civil litigation. I assume at some point some otherwise very nice people got some very grumpy letters from some very upset people over at Warner Brothers, and not surprisingly the game got rebranded as What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord?

For reasons I can't entirely explain, this new title makes me think of Evony ads instead.

Anyway, the point of this is that a sequel WDIDTDT,ML2 is launching this week on the PSP, and in a week of otherwise near irrelevance, this seems like as good a pick as any for Game of the Week. I can't actually say that I know much about the game except that every time I read an explanation of the mechanics it vaguely reminds me of Dungeon Keeper, and that has to be a good thing.

Aside from the Fat Princess move to the PSP and a whole bunch of Iron Man 2, there's not much else to talk about. That's fine, I'm saving my money for coming weeks.

Oh, May 18 will be a tragic day for my wallet.

Picross 3D is pure genius. One of the best logic puzzle games sinces Picross DS. What's so great about it? You feel like a genius, when solving a 3D picross. It has a very gentle learning curve, and all solved puzzle have a cute animation as a reward. Love it! I did not expect that picross would work in a 3D space, but it does...

I'm saving my money for 3D Dot Game Heroes, which comes out the 11th.

It's the first game I've preordered since Loco Roco. I have a tirade I've been rehearsing for when I get to the Gamestop and find out that they don't have my reserved copy.

On this weeks docket, I'm tempted by Iron Man 2. I had a blast with the first one. There was one annoying mission that I spent some time stuck on, but given the track record of most games that's significantly less than I've experienced with "better" games.

Oh wow. Picross 3d is coming out this week. Sweet!!! I do love me some Picross.

Also releasing on May 18 is Split/Second and PoP: The Forgotten Sands (beware: Ubisoft).

I've been looking forward to Picross 3D since it was announced. Picross DS spent more time in my DS than any other game. Now a new one that is only $20

Picross 3D has a lot more personality than I'd expected. I'm loving it so far.

The Split/Second demo on the 360 is pretty great. I thought Bluer was fun, but Split/Second really blew it away.

I tried out the picross 3D demo via the Nintendo Channel on the Wii, and now that game is on my to buy list for sure. What a great puzzle game! I never even gave it a second thought before.

I also noticed they've started offering a lot more demos on there since my last visit. Instead of 8, there's probably 20-30 now.
