GWJ Store Has Launched!

People have been asking us for years when we’d be getting shirts and other cool stuff out the door so they can represent their love for our awesome community. The time has finally come to unveil the new store and we’re excited to have both the original Gamers With Jobs t-shirt along with the first winner from our design contest back in … wow, that’s a long time ago.

One of our absolute favorites was one of many designs submitted by community member Fredrik Skarstedt (Fredrik_S). He had a bunch of awesome ideas but his Friend Me Up graphic design was particularly inspired. We’re very pleased to offer a regular t-shirt in multiple colors and babydoll versions for the ladies!

This is only the beginning. Over the next few months we plan to release new stuff based on what you guys want and some of our other winning designs. Big thanks to Cleveland Printwear for making our awesome swag!

*note* We have folks outside the US and Canada covered too, check out the international order form on the site.

my credit card is waiting for mugs and onesies...

Like we said -- we'll be adding new items on a regular basis based on feedback (ya know, assuming anyone buys this stuff).

My feedback: The original shirt needs to be available in more than just black. We're not a bunch of emo teenagers, ya know.

I really like the colors offered for the new shirt and hope to see (at least some of) the same colors for the original.

Feedback: I'm looking for a gray sleeveless T with a racerback tank to throw over the top, Battlestar Galactica-style, with a little GWJ logo on the upper left breast.

Anyone else?

One "sand" coloured shirt ordered. A conservative choice, admittedly but fuchsia just wan't an option! I hope it gets here in time for my birthday!

I purchased one of each style.
Any thoughts on coffee mugs?

How's this for a mug?

Looks like good quality t-shirts. I was worried about nipple chafing.

I just bought 4 random t-shirts and a Random Bag of Crap from Woot and here you guys come making two more t-shirts available!

No rush on the mugs, magnets, etc. My wallet needs a break!

Needs more polos. I can't wear t-shirts to work!

I'm making long, meaningful eye contact with you. Now a slow nod to confirm that yes, this is on my mind too.

My love for you knows no bounds!

Agreed. Something with a subtle design like the PA First Party polos.

The more I see it the more I think Fredrik_S's "friend me up" design is frickin' hot. Solid work, man.

Praise FSM!

Yah, if you see some remarkably good looking man walking around kansas city in a military green shirt - say hi to me:)

Wait, you're a dude?! I thought your name was Sally and you were nasty ... this changes everything.

That is just how nasty I am.

I was a lot happier before I knew SallyNasty was a man. A lot happier.

I just assume everyone on the internet is a dude until proven otherwise. The only ones here I'm truly certain of are KaterinLHC, because she's been on the podcast, duckideva, because of WoW, and Mystic Violet, because I've heard her cackle on XBox Live while she chainsaws. ...shudder

muuuuuuuuuugs!

Edit: Oh, and casual Stan with the tshirt and ballcap disturbs me a little.

I definitely need a 16 oz GWJ cup to put my booze in on the weekends.

Baseball caps would rock, but a GWJ fedora and neck tie like Stan's would be so friggin cool.

Also, someone needs to get on Weiner bomber and Finger--->butt designs ASAP

I would love to buy the original GWJ tee, but I hate t-shirts with big designs on the back--they always make my back sweat. Any chance you'll release one with just the GWJ logo on the front and nothing on the back?

Meanwhile, Friend Me Up shirt ordered.

I'd like to see a GWJ TF2 themed shirt. Possibly with the little front logo that Tempest made for the group:

ukick, since he already has a fedora, we should get Tempest to add a camera beard to that.

Seconded!

I bought my T-shirt. I am excited... are we starting a thread of pictures of people wearing GWJ Gear?

I need some measurements of the shirts before I order. I've been looking for Gildan Heavyweight shirt measurements, but my googlie skills are lacking. Anyone know how these shirts fit?

Rabbit? You seem to be the guinea pig. Got any measuring tape?

+1 for a mug, fedora, and a GWJ themed coffee grinder.

I'd be more than happy to do more designs if the overlords of GwJ wish me to.

Sold. I'll also add votes for mugs, polos, and baseball hats.

I'm happy for you guys for getting a store up and running. Mind if I ask why you went with a 3rd-party solution when you could have kept it in house by using Ubercart?

If you ever decide to make the switch I'd be happy to give you a hand.

Edit: Sorry, I should clarify that Ubercart is an e-commerce module for Drupal.

Did a little snooping for sizes:
Women's Sizing Chart from Anvil (I think, based on the description).
Men's Sizing Chart from Gildan (again, I think this is it, based on the description).

I'd really like to get a shirt, but I have a concern with the screen-printing methods. I'm worried that my bountiful oogaba will distort or crack/split/buckle the chest detail on the "friend me up" shirt if the ink is the thick, surface-applied kind that looks kind of like paint. If this is how the design was applied, after a few wears and washes my shirt will begin to deteriorate and look all crappy because its suffering from chesty abuse.

Is this the case, or is it the penetrative dye that feels the same as the rest of the shirt?(sorry, I'm a bit ignorant on the techniques, I hope that makes sense).

Rabbit, as the test-subject of these tees, would you be able to let me know?

rabbit was first to order, but he doesn't have them yet.

I, however, do have a test Friend Me Up shirt! It's not screen printed, so it's a penetrative dye, the surface of it feels no different than the rest of the shirt. You should be fine! Whether you like how it stretches across your (checks to see if wife is looking) "bountiful oogaba" is likely a taste/style thing.

The original t-shirt IS screen printed, but the logo is just on the one side.

The friend me up shirt should be digital print. I have seen the demo version of it you should not have any problems. The original black one is screen printed which is why there is only one color option for it right now as it is more expensive to print.

Sweet guys! Thanks a bunch : )

Where's the Wienerbomb shirt?

In the "in-jokes that don't sell" pile. Turns out the people who posted to say they wanted them were the ONLY ONES that wanted them

Any idea what the shipping rate is (I am talking speed, not cost)? I bought two shirts on the 11th, $9.50 shipping. Is that a priority rate (meaning I can expect them sometime early next week)?

Just trying to get an idea of delivery times in the event I want to buy one for a friend as a gift.
