Employee Profile: Mex
Here's one just for the ladies! Mex is a constant source of content and inspiration for us all here at GWJ, and I think that extends to our forum community. His stories inspire us all to believe that maybe, just maybe, those Letters to Penthouse are actually true, because one of our own is apparently living that lusty latin life. And, he totally plays videogames. Mex, I dub thee, our champion, our knight in tarnished armor. Or should I say in tarnished amore! Purr.
I imagine he has just finished playing Mario Kart and is saying to a beautiful girl, "Now, will I pleasure you!"
1)Who the devil are you?
I'll skip this question, too philosophical. I mean, who the hell am I?
It is just as Descartes said "Buttery walnut- Oh, my name? My real name is Eduardo.
2) What are you supposed to be doing during the day when you're reading GWJ?
Let me ask my boss. Some kind of retail job, I think.
3) How about family? Kids? Pets? Particularly meaningful inanimate objects?
Not married yet, thankfully. No kids that I know of, and the lab has not returned the DNA tests. I am not very materialistic.... I do like my GBA, however. Gives me more pleasure per dollar than other kinds of entertainment.
4) What was your favorite game over the last year or so? Why?
Half Life 2, hands down. It was just like a movie. The Dog, the rides on various vehicles... Damn, the intro level was the best thing I've played in an FPS, ever.
I also got incredibly addicted to WoW, but like most of my relationships it only lasted a couple of weeks.
5) Which game are you looking forward to most?
I'm really looking forward to the Revolution games. I'd love to play games shaking my controller around like a sword or something. I'm really hoping they get that controller thingie to work. Have they shown any screenshots or something yet?
6) What is your fondest gaming memory?
Ultima VII. Not any particular event (perhaps just firing it up and seeing the butterfly), but the whole game was a great experience. The virtues are kind of a moral compass that I still try to follow (without much success).
7) Who do you think would win in a fight between Lichtenstein and Andorra?
I'm not sure how pop artist Roy Lichtenstein and first-in-country-lists Andorra would fight. I guess I'll go with Lichtenstein, because it kinda sounds like Frankenstein.
8) Finally, why do you play games at all? Why haven't you outgrown them?
I'm supposed to outgrow them at some point? Crap.
9) Thanks for taking the time to answer our hard hitting questions!
Any last words?
I love this website and my nipples are on fire.
