August 20th to 26th

Picking the Game Of The Week doesn't get any easier than this. Right from the original announcement, Bioshock has had us bouncing around in our chairs like kids waiting for recess. While some lucky gamers have got their copies early, the rest of us can pick it up for the Xbox 360 and PC this week. The reviews and early impressions from gamers have been astounding so far, Tuesday can't come soon enough.

;)

Isn't this that dating sim game, where the gamer spends 12 hours of gaming time wooing a virtual girlfriend, and then during the final scene, where they are about to consummate their virtual love, he looks down via his first person perspective and realizes 'she' wasnt a girl after all and finds himself in for a real bio shock.

Oh crap, sorry about the spoilerzzz

On a more serious note... Give me my preorder already. It probably has a fine layer of dust on it, it's been waiting so long to be welcomed home....

Bios Hock! Pawn your computer's precious bios to stay one step ahead of your creditors. EXCITING!

I can't believe Pro Bowling didn't win. How much are they paying you, Certis?

And where's the love for Two Worlds?

Fixed that for ya.

Yeah, talk about slipped in under the radar. I say dual wielding FTW.

What no midnight releases?

And whats with Steam waiting until 4pm tomorrow before unlocking.. damn them I say 12:01am!

Just imagine though.. the poor bastards in charge of Steam's backend infrastructure right now are sitting in their cubicles dreading tomorrow.

I'm hot for you Bioshock...

Hanging out at the bar with all the crappy reviews it got, I think. We'll see how the 360 version goes.

Is shocking the BIOS anything like flashing it?

I don't think I've ever posted in one of these threads before, but I just have to tell any PSP owners who somehow have missed the Jeanne D'Arc thread that the demo for that game has rocked the GWJ PSP community. I'll be searching frantically for a copy come tomorrow.

At last, the wait is over and I can finally see if I need to upgrade my PC to play this...except, big surprise, it's only on Fileplanet

Actually only the "preload" of the demo was exclusive. I know Fileshack at least was saying they will have it the same time today.

Excellent Thanks for the heads-up.

I guess that leaves me the only one who just took tomorrow off because of an actual dental emergency appointment.

Fate, as it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

The gaping hole in your tooth is matched only by the emptiness in your 360's DVD tray?

My shifting crowns are only matched by the Universe shifting on its axis as Bioshock gets unlocked on Steam.

As you hear the whir of the drill, just close your eyes and imagine Big Daddy has walked in the room....
