Donation Draw Happening THURSDAY Night!

Section:

Finally, we can get down to the good part! The donation draw will happen Thursday night at 8PM CST. We'll announce the winners on the page as soon as the draw happens, but that's not nearly as fun as listening to it live on Teamspeak!

Woooooooooo!

I guess I'll stop playing Company of Heroes long enough to listen to other people win all the prizes

I'd like to point out that I have friends in high and secret places who don't offically exist.

You know I love you CEO types. And I mean "love".

I wonder if my Mac TS client still works....

By the way, 8PM CST... is that 9-10pm EST?

Cry from Europe:

"There is no donation draw, there is no donation draw, there is no..."

*sobs softly*

So who is actually doing the draw? I need to know so I can focus all of my wizahd powers on them drawing my name. Touch brizahd, grab it, and say my name!

The drawing will be held by "Random Number Generator" who is a lesser know but crucially important member of our team. Look forward to his upcoming article "38, 124, 7, 9,520,032".

I actually remember the draw last year in some detail. It was the first time I'd heard any of your voices other than Certis. I was playing Sniper Elite. I should finish that one..

Do you think you could get him to do an article about "Lost"?

I'd like to listen in; but unfortunately my professor would probably say something about how I should listen to her lecture instead.

I'll probably join in on the excitement, despite the shame of not being able to afford a donation this year

I'll skip out on a game in the month of the next drive and send the proceeds to the GWJ coffers. Good luck to all the participants and I hope you don't get a bum 360

Now I can't come.

I found that way too funny. There might be something wrong with me.

Oh, don't let him fool you, there's nothing random about those numbers. The truth shall be revealed. Tune in. Turn on. Add up.

She's right! If you add them up, it comes to 720. 720, of course as we all know, being the year that Umayyad caliph Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz was succeeded by Yazid II ibn Abd al-Malik, and the Japanese literature masterpiece Nihon Shoki was finished and who could forget Byzantine emperor Leo III the Isaurian's orders to execute the ex-emperor Anastasius II?

But you may not have known that 720 is 6! (6 factorial), a composite number with thirty divisors, making it a highly composite number. It is a Harshad number in every base from binary to decimal. There are 49 solutions to the equation φ(x) = 720, more than any integer below it, making 720 a highly totient number. 720 is a 241-gonal number. 720 is also a wicked cool skateboard trick.

I think the parallels are obvious. I'm sure I don't need to belabor the point by drawing a map of how these things all funnel together.

Er...wait a minute...add, add, add, add...oops...730. Well, you know what that means? It's like 720, only 10 better. Yeah.

All I know is Random better be wearing a tinfoil hat cause I'm sending out psychic vibes!

*shakes fist at random* next year, next year

congrats to all who won

Wow, props to DuckiDeva for finding the totient function character... in fact, props to her for knowing about the Totient function!!!

Unfortunately, I missed the Teamspeak event due to work demands. But thankfully, luna let me know that I had won! Woot!

I'd like to thank all the people who had worse luck than me tonight. I simply couldn't have pulled this off without all of you. And man, there are a lot of you. /gloat

So, where's the list of winners published? Who won the Soapy Hollow basket?
