It's April, and the world is changing. Many of us will be plunged into a diurnal crisis as the clocks artificially lurch forward leaving the sun up suddenly, and unusually, late. Natural selection exerts its theoretical dominance as the stubborn and terminally stupid plunge through thin ice on thawing lakes. The relentless frigidity of winter is replaced by the brown, dirt stained, mud slick hangover that is the spring thaw. And, despite temperatures that creep only briefly out of the realm of frostbite, people feel compelled to wear t-shirts and shorts. In short, the mind turns to warmer weather. Our Game of the Week is an appropriate indicator of this mentality.
Note: Your spring experience may vary if you live in a temperate zone suitable for human habitation.
Brokeback Mountain is available on DVD this week, which I can only assume means an entirely new onslaught of gay cowboy jokes. Oh, gay cowboy jokes, I wish we knew how to quit you. Also, religion-friendly fantasy epic The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe makes it to home theater systems. There's more. Here's a link to the list. Right ... here!
