Finally! After a long and parched drought of decent gaming titles, the stormclouds are gathering and the first tentative droplets falling from the sky. Droplets the size of soccer balls! I suggest you carry some kind of reinforced umbrella. Which is why our game of the week is the latest edition of Konami's numeral intensive soccer game: World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 for the PS2, Xbox, PC, and PSP. A game which has, arguably, been the best sports offering for two years running.
Meanwhile on the DVD front, Disney has decided to try and squeeze another direct-to-DVD cash-in film from the parched sponge that was once dripping with creativity in the form of Bambi II. Also this week, The Rock flop Doom and Cameron Crowe flop Elizabethtown among others. At least you've got a decent soccer game to play.
