I think Ms. Webb probably hates her fame. She's like every girl in every anime ever, with a million geeks lusting over her.

So... we can have her talk about how much she hates her fame. In truth though, what I believe I liked the most about X-play back when I use to watch it was that when they reviewed the games, I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me the games, just tell me what they liked/hated about it. Plus I loved how they used to rape games dirty when they sucked.

Quick ideas:

"I'm Russ, and that was Shawn. This has been Gamers with Jobs Radio, and I'm off to shave my balls" - too weird?

Have Certis do the closing: "I'm Shawn, and that was Russ. This has been Gamers with Jobs Radio: I've got a 360, and you don't."

The prize committee does not like this one

Keeping it short and sweet, how about...

"With Gamers With Jobs Radio, this is Russ and Shawn. And now you know."

But that sounds a bit like I may have copied it from somewhere. Some other tag lines, then:

"... This job's well done."
or "... Play a game for us."

"Game on, Mof*ckers."

"And this has been Gamers With Jobs Radio. Insert humorous bullsh*t here."

Just one thing that disappointed me:

* MAJOR SPOILERS (I guess) *

When Fletch went on with his firefighter stripdance "burn baby burn" routine, I was practically expecting Certis to go *fap*fap*fap*fap*. He has GOT to do that. Evidently it was edited out of the footage.

Ok, here are my suggestions.

"That's your Gamers With Jobs Radio for this week. I'm still Russ, he's still Shawn, and you're still alone."
"I'm Russ, he's Shawn and that's all we've got to give. Gamers With Jobs Radio out."
"Well, hopefully that's enough to keep the cyanide out of your Chex for another week, because that's all the radio we've got. For Gamers With Jobs Radio, we're Russ and Shawn."
"I'm Russ, he's Shawn, that was Gamers With Jobs Radio. Now, get back to work."
"For Gamers With Jobs Radio, he's Shawn, I'm Russ, and we're fresh out of dick jokes."

Oh sh*t, how could I forget?

"That was Gamers With Jobs Radio, I'm Russ, he's Shaw, and these pipes ... ARE CLEEEAAAAN!"

Cabin Boy references are always welcome

"That was Gamers With Jobs Radio. We now return you to your regularly scheduled wiener bombing."

"Hey, hey, hey. Play games every day."

"Guess which one of us has the X-Box360."

"I speeeeeeeeeeel my drink!"

"I'm Russ, he's Shawn, candidate for the presidency of Canadia."

"Feel free to return to throwing your life away to WoW."

"And remember, one in the hand is worth two in the finger butt."

Late, but I'd like to throw in a vote for:
"This has been Gamers With Jobs Radio, I'm Russ and this is Shawn, reminding you to keep on gaming, and that the pie will be forever eating itself. Goodnight."

For an ending, how about "This was Gamers With Jobs Radio, we now return you to your basements. Game on." Perfect mix of cheesiness, stereotyping and closure.

With a little 80's pron music thrown in and that seals it.

You wanted a way to end the show that is particularly unique to GWJ.

In reading through the forums for a while I think most everybodies signatures are hilarious. Just take a quick gander and you have to laugh. So I think It would be fitting for you to quote some of the funnier quotes. OR even better have the members themselves read their signature line if you could arrange it. THat way you get a chance to celebrate the members.

Often times, the signatures are quotes that people are quoting from other forum members. I think that kind of an example is perfect.

Just in this thread alone, rat boy's, fletchers, or podunks' signature lines would be great. They are stinkin' funny and they are unique to the community.

Just a thought.

Actually, it's not such a bad idea"… this way the ending will never get stale and considering that our community always come out with something witty, you have access to unlimited resource. There for I'll second it...

Hey, Pred's the man who came up with it, I'm just the sap who raised it up the flag pole for all to see.

I think Armisius' suggestion is easily the best yet. I propose, though, that you not limit yourself to people's signatures. That way, you can end the program with an interesting forum quote of the week. "I'm Fletcher, that... thing to my right is Certis, and your quote of the week comes courtesy of X, who wrote, 'Blah blah blah, blah-blah blah blah blah.' So long!"

Might even consider dropping it in there nonchalantly, like it was as common a phrase as could be.

"I'm Fletcher, that... thing to my right is Certis, and 'Buddy Holly's name was actually Buddy.' So long!"

Oops, I forgot that you guys switched to Russ and Shawn for the show.

"Switched to"? You make it sound like we're making our names up or something

Aren't you?

For the time being, I shall refrain from pointing out the irony of being asked that question by someone calling themselves "Rat Boy"

Suffice to say, "Russ" is my actual, real, mom-given name. As for Shawn, I can't say. I think his real name is Hugh Hefner.

I think Armisius wins.....now I have to find a good sig.
