What's to say, really? The last new game I bought for my Gamecube was Zelda, and I preordered that six months before it was even released. My poor purple box hasn't had much exercise as of late. This week, though, I actually had to choose between games. Soul Calibur II and F-Zero GX both tempted me with their seductive newness. I had more or less already made up my mind before they even made it to shelves, though. I have a few of those "gaming moments" in my life that are centered around fighting games. I even look back with some fondness upon the time in college when I was double-flawlessed, punished with a babality, and summarily banned from the room during a late night Genesis Mortal Kombat session in the college dorms. So, I grabbed SC2 hoping it will act as some sort of lightning rod for another fine gaming memory.Although, now that I think about it, all of those fighting game moments involve other people. I may not have the same experience as I plow through the single player modes and bizarre new Weapons Master RPG mode. So, I guess you guys can come over. Don't track dirt in the front door, though, or my wife will slay me, and probably finish it with a babality.
