Until we get into this weeks releases I just want to apologize for the slow front page content lately. We really want to have something new up Monday to Friday but it can be tough to manage with real life constantly asserting its will on us and our disinterest in posting every half-baked piece of writing sent our way. Rather than force filler junk on you we'll continue to strive for original content even if it means missing a day or two once in a while until we get back up to full strength. Speaking of super heroes, the only game really worth mentioning this week is Freedom Force Vs The Third Reich which is self-published by Irrational Games for the low low price of $39.99. It ships on March 8th and already appears to be scoring some nice reviews from the big sites.
On DVD this week we have Christmas With the Kranks, Ladder 49, the Zatoichi: Blind Swordsman Box Set and more!
PC:
Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich (3/8)
PS2:
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (3/8)
MLB 2006 (3/8)
Rugby 2005 (3/8)
XBOX:
Rugby 2005 (3/8)
Gameboy Advance:
Scooby-Doo Two Games in 1 Double Pack (3/7)
Thanks to Game Tab for putting together the release list!

My fault for the front page content, too. The next edition of Chalk Talk is half done, but I've been very busy after having been sick and thus away from work & classes for the past 2 weeks. I've got a LOT of catching up to do, and the 2nd edition of Chalk Talk has slid a bit.

I preordered FF2 straight from Irrational, it looks really nice.
Also, nobody went to see Christmas with the Kranks at Christmas, who wants to watch it now?
I've been waiting for Freedom Force 2 for a long time. Loved the first game. Support Irrational! Buy it now!
Credulous at best, your desire to believe in angels in the hearts of men.
Come on now, Fletcher's stuff isn't that bad.
My work has been called many things. "Half-baked" is not one of them.
Drivel, perhaps. Or mindless drivel. Or festering, mindless drivel even. But never half-baked.

I pre-ordered the new Freedom Force direct from Irrational too and I gotta say I'm a little disappointed. The games due out tomorrow and my pre-order hasn't shipped yet.

A common misconception. Tuesdays are shipping date/release date. All items usually ship out on tuesday and arrive according to physical location.
How'd you check the status? I tried to get to the store, and it just told me that preordering was closed until after it was released. I have no hope that my copy will show up tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to this weekend.
sheared, I was just going by the fact that they haven't charged my credit card yet and they said they would when it shipped.
Also, the Irrational guys have been saying it would be out on 3/8. Someone called them on it in their forums and they had this to say.
I guess self-publishing developers are susceptible to common misconceptions too.
