Xenosaga for the JRPG freaks, Tenchu for the desperate, and Second Sight in the bargain bin. No A-list titles, but a few things to tide you over for a bit if you're tired of Gaming's own winter season.
I love America more than any other country in the world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.

I said "A-List". That takes up a certain rareified air inhabitied by games like Superman 64 and Hooters! Road Trip.

Wow, Ice Pirates makes me want to watch it just because the cover is unbelievably awful. Seriously, it looks like a 70's album cover.
Ice Pirates! Yay space herpes!
Ok thats the only thing I remember from that tripe :).

Ice Pirates was freaking hilarious, you guys. The cowardly robot cracked me up. Not to mention the space herpes.

Ice Pirates is comedic gold, GOLD I say. They showed this movie 24/7 on HBO, I must have seen it about 300 times.
I just looked up the cast list, the main guy was Spencer for Hire! Also featuring Anjelica Houston, Ron Perlman and Bruce Vilanch.

Aint nothing new about the world order..it's been playing since the day they put George Washington on a quarter
Delivering Truth while the 10% deliver lies.
Actually...we're thinking about breaking down and getting the Cube, just so we can get games like Winnie the Pooh for the boy. Most of the games for the PS2 seem to be targetted at an older set than the Cube. (I say this with only a brief glance at available titles.)
I'm pretty sure, statistically, coffee increases violence more than marijuana....I'm going for my second cup and when I get back I'm bringing a shovel.
Ice Pirates was absolutely awesome! It even threw in a time travel gimmick in the plot!
What is Scrapland? Sounds sorta interesting...

Ice Pirates! Woohoo!
Also, isn't Wario Ware Touched this week as well?
There, that's better.

How can you not like Ice Pirates?!
Why are people knocking Ice Pirates?
What's wrong with you all?
It's Blazing Saddles for the Sci-Fi crowd. The release of Ice Pirates on DVD is important (in the lesser scheme of things).
The game is suppose to be fantastic (Winnie the Pooh) and it does feature great graphics. I'm buying it!

Let me know if you add me and I'll add you back!
Can someone tell me what the devil a 'TV Starter Kit' is? I see this for Buffy, Angel, 24 etc., but can't find what it exactly is.
Thanks
I'm definitely picking up Winnie the Pooh for my youngest. She liked Piglet's Big Game, but it had a surprisingly brutal difficulty level. My oldest daughter could handle the first few levels, but the later ones were a challenge even for me.
WtP:RTA has a "Junior" mode that is supposed to let the player wander around and do stuff without having to fight the Heffalumps & Woozles. That's what I wish Piglet's Big Game had, so this is a big step in the right direction.

Only Angel Season 5 and Ice Pirates? P-shaw, I say!
Saw?!!? The finest horror movie of our (and possibly any) generation!?!
Raise Your Voice?!? The finest Hilary Duff helmed Music-Filled movie EVER MADE!?
Taxi!?! Jimmy Fallon is dreamy!?!?!?
Went over to my favorite independent game shop at lunch today, but they only had the PS2 version of Winnie the Pooh. I need the GC version (my daughter prefers the Cube controllers), so they are ordering that version for me, and I will have it tomorrow. He's going to try and get me Dai Senryaku VII by then, too.
Thank goodness Raise Your Voice is finally out. We ended up missing the theatrical release due to various reasons, and my middle daughter, the hugest Hillary Duff fan in the world, has not let me live that down. Definitely buying that today, too.

I'm looking at getting Xenosaga 2 and then I look at Xenosaga and wince a little. I love Japanese RPGs but Xenosaga grated on me in ways others haven't. It took me months to beat it and in the end I was very disappointed. I bought Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, and although it is a bit short, I'm already at the end in less than a week of constant play. Sigh. I'll probably end up buying Xenosaga 2 or getting it for my birthday.
Are there any good RPGs coming out for the PS2 that isn't FFXII or Dragon Warrior VIII?
