That's a pretty impressive turnout. Hopefully that should keep the site going for a good while now

If we hear Elysium's bought a new car though . . .

Wow, way to go everyone!

I'm picturing penthouse suites, open bars, and personal "massage therapists" all around during the next E3 junket.

Hmmm a 1 in 90 chance at that big PC still ain't that bad.... oh and that whole helping keep the site running thing.... but who cares about that

Still, as I said to my wife, good odds. She thought I was nuts, but I told here I would laugh and laugh if the Grand Prize comes my way.

Edited: Can't do math worth a darn.

Something else I noticed-there is a distinct lack of new blood on that list. Almost every one that donated is a "regular", which speaks volumes about this little community.

Um, mateo might want to rethink the odds on that, also rethink 2 x 90 while you're at it...

I thought about the odds but then said to myself "There are few sites online as good as GWJ."

...and then I thought about the grand prize some more...

Wow... I wish as many people would of bought the dang coffee mug... GWJ Coffee Mug... the good days I could of had drinking coffee... but no, everyone wanted a Tshirt.

[followed by constant rambling about not enought sugar in my tea and how old people will not save the world]

I'm still bitter about the mug...I should have just ordered the 50 like I was going to...but I think my wife would have killed me when they arrived.

Next year, maybe the grand prize will be a GWJ Coffee mug; the prototype of the ones we couldn't get.

Seriously, you guys are a great company of which to be a part.

Bump!

Yeah, I'm an MBA that can't do basic math. Hence law school!

Honestly, 'impressive' would be a severe understatement.

I'm game for a mug. Maybe Certis should add that to the donation drive, as an extra incentive. Like they do on National Public Radio.

"And for a donation of $35 dollars, you get 2 sweepstakes entires and a GWJ mug."

Come on, it would work.

I would have ordered one, but unfortunately, I've got so damn many of them lying around holding pens and pencils that another one would be excruitiatingly silly. And I don't drink coffee, which is another whole issue of course.

I'm simply stunned by the response. This will keep things running quite smoothly for a good long while to come. After this is over, I wouldn't expect to hear the word Donation slip across our lips for the forseeable future. Or until the caviar runs out.

If, indeed, rock can be used as a verb, then I would employ it to describe everyone who visits our site.

Enough with the coffee mugs, already!
/Zoidberg

I didn't want a damn mug, and shame on you for making me feel guilty for it

The list of regulars is very impressive. Great work guys! I'd like to know, though... how many of us gave more than they originally intended because of the incentives?

<-- raises hand

+2 (One for the "gave more" and one for those blasted coffee mugs. Enough already! And I like my T-shirt :-))

I'm not usually a gambling man, but it's a better cause than the company social committee, which I'm convinced is run by a group of catatonic Rhesus monkeys high off of paint fumes and Tylenol 3. And the prizes...oh, the prizes...

I was planning on giving the amount I gave when I heard they were doing a donation drive before I knew what the rules were- fortunately it just happened to be just over one of the breaking points

I know I should probably just make another thread but what's the status on the GWJ "Artisan" shirt? I was looking forward to getting one before the holidays to stump all of my non-gamer relatives.

Also, I really wish I could have donated more to this. I did lousy in my weekly poker game and I wish I could have budgeted more to the cause. Still, glad to hear the site will be okay and that it'll continue on well funded.

The current company we work with isn't too convinced that the shirt will sell. We're going to file it away for now, you never know..

For what it's worth, I just sent off my donation.

Just donated some, but I see no space for it to list a user name?

As a daily lurker on here, I couldn't let the opportunity to donate pass by.

Geez, it's hard to articulate how good this place is to stop by and check out each day.

Top shelf discussion and tolerance is not exactly in abundance in the gaming regions of the 'net.

If you lurk, but love the quality of this site, I'd urge you to dig into those "Gamer with Jobs" pockets and divert some cash in the direction of this excellent site.

And no, I'm not pimping for these guys. I just think this place is sh*t hot!

I wouldn't expect to hear the word Donation slip across our lips for the forseeable future.

Then how am I supposed to get one of those pimpin' gold watches?

I just think this place is sh*t hot!

Amen brother!

(never heard "sh*t hot" used, but I like it)

Those crazy aussies have all the cool slang.

Nos-you can add it in the comments section.

speaking of coffee mugs. Did I miss the post saying the new alt crafting t-shirts were available for purchase? In time for giving it to my wife for christmas, then asking her to wear it to bed on sandwich night?

I would have bought a few from you! You could have told her you had cornered the market and were selling them at a profit.

Mateo,
I didn't see a comment box, and believe me I was looking for one.
The only options I had on the first page were the amount to donate, a space to enter my PP account name and PW, clicked submit. Went to some confirmation thing and a checkbox for the address confirmation, which I told it was not needed (since I am not recieving an actual item), clicked submit and the order was done.
