March 22nd - 28th

Ubi Soft has two solid titles coming out this week and it's been tough to pick which one should receive top billing. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow has a title that confuses and scares me while "Farcry" is way shorter but it's not a real word. In the end, thanks to the fact that it will be released on the PC and Xbox I'll have to give the nod to Pandora Tomorrow. For $39.99 on the PC and $49.99 on the Xbox, Pandora ships tomorrow and it will include a new four player multiplayer mode that looks to be gathering some really good buzz.

Look at you, you're the Splinter Cell's token blimp and you know it. Have another donut fatty! You disgust me.

Among the DVD releases this week is The Rock's action flick, The Rundown. It was a fun little movie all told, I really enjoyed it.The Games

Farcry

Sacred

Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps
Platform: PC

The Buzz: Trivial Pursuit to the xtreme!

Backyard Baseball

All-Star Baseball 2005

The Buzz: This is not the third game in the Onimusha series! This is a fighting game spin-off.

Man, I'm just now getting my UT2K4 warmed up and Farcry comes out. Oh well, at least by the time I'm ready for it there'll be a discount.

Britney Spears: In the Zone though, whoo! In the Zone is sexually suggestive, right?

Far Cry multiplayer = still bad I am guessing. No thanks. You should know better Certis?

Unless you plan on playing only singleplayer?

None of these look all that thrilling to me... so its a good thing I found No One Lives Forever 2 - A Spt in H.A.R.M.'s way for 7.98 at Toys are us yesterday! Ahh cheap bargain-bin goodness!

What's wrong with Far Cry MP Flux? I am in fact picking this up for SP but Its always nice to have a solid MP element in there as well.

Lag, ghosting, rubberbanding, missing sound,etc....all related to netcode is what our beta community decided. They only put out onc patch during the entire beta and it wasn't really much of an improvement.

I would have to read many reviews or try a final code multiplayer demo before I considered FC. I do have faith in Crytek however, so we will see.

Actually the multiplayer wasn't half bad with like 3 on 3 but once you got over 10 players it was a freaking mess.

Syberia 2's not out 'til next week? Damn. Oh well, Sacred should keep me busy.

What the heck is rubberbanding? Thanks for the info dude.

Pandora Tomorrow! Is it just me, or does it seem with a name like that, it needs some kind of 60s-era crooner to sing a title track over the shadowy forms of naked dancing women?

What the heck is rubberbanding? Thanks for the info dude.

Not sure if you have ever been on a really laggy server playing something like UT2004 or not, but "rubberbanding" is when you run forward like 5 steps and then get pulled back 3 steps, move forward 5 more steps, get pulled back 3 steps. Sometimes it seems like you will never get anywhere. It is funny to see someone else having the problem...easy kill

BREED has cooperative play thru single-player campaign !

I'm buying it.

EDIT: On second look, the official feature list does not list it anymore. Ah f*ck.

Anyone else planning on getting Pandora for the Xbox?

Me, and I can't wait.

The Rundown. It was a fun little movie all told, I really enjoyed it.

Saw it two weeks ago (since that's when the movie was launched over here in the theatres) and thought the same. Entertaining, well shot, nice soundtrack and even Seann William Scott couldn't ruin it.

Looks like I'll be getting Pandora for the Xbox. I've got the demo on PC and if I point the camera forwards on the jungle level the screen goes crazy-birthday-cake insane. I think my graphics card has a phobia of Sam Fisher's ass in humid conditions. It's fine if I look behind him.
I'm suspecting it's cos it is so heavily overclocked, but all my other games are fine.

It's annoying that image alt messages only come up rarely on a fast connection. Now I'm gonna have to go around to all the images on the site and right click->properties just see if there's a hidden joke.

Nah, the "You gush in review or you gush in blood" bit for Ninja Gaiden was hysterical.

I had no problems with the Splinter Cell demo on my PC and I enjoyed the first one a lot more there than on Xbox so I will be grabbing the PC version...  Though I may wait for it to go on sale somewhere.
