Nov 3rd - 9th

We've got a ton of games coming down the pipe this week and considering it's 2AM now I think it's safe to say it took me a while to compile the list. I've added a few screenshots and some extra info you may not know about the upcoming versions of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time so be sure to check inside for those details. As far as fresh content for the site goes we'll have a Planetside: Core Combat review penned by our resident Irishman Kegboy soon and much more so be sure to stick around!

If you are going to stick around give those Google ads a click will you? Onto the week ahead!

The BIG Games

True Crime: Streets of LA
Platform: Xbox, PS2, GC
Ships: Nov 3rd
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: Aiming to be a GTA3 killer, True Crime has already garnered an impressive 9/10 from IGN.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Platform: Xbox, PS2, Gamecube
Ships: Nov 5th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: The follow-up to EA's successful Two Towers beat-em-up, this time with more controllable characters and COOP! I'm really looking forward to the coop.

Fire Emblem
Platform: GBA
Ships: Nov 3rd
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: I don't know much about the series but I do know this is a strategy game and plenty of aficionados are looking forward to it.

Dynasty Warriors Xtreme Legends
Platform: PS2
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: A "remixed" version of the original release this runs along the same lines as Virtua Fighter Evolution, a re-released game with some additions and a cheaper price point.

Civilization III: Conquests
Platform: PC
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: An expansion to the game some people just love to hate! With good reason.

Rugby 2004
Platform: PC
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: Rugby from the only show in town, those who like it, like it a lot.

Fifa Soccer 2004
Platform: PC, Xbox, PS2
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $39.99 ($49.99 for console versions)

The Buzz: This series has been so hit and miss I don't know what to think anymore. Approach with caution.

Bloody Roar 4
Platform: PS2
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $39.99

The Buzz: Bloody well no buzz on this one.

Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance
Platform: Xbox, PS2
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: If the name doesn't tell you this is a standard 3rd person brawler the gameplay videos certainly will. Rent it if you must or wait for reviews.

SOCOM II: U.S Navy SEALS
Platform: PS2
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: More of the game that was one of the first to pull people online through the PS2.

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring
Platform: PC
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: The demo left much to be desired. This RTS is based on the books rather than the movies and didn't seem to add much to the 3D RTS genre.

Grand Theft Auto Double Pack
Platform: Xbox
Ships: Nov 4th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: Xbox owners finally get a shot at both Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. Assuming they haven't already played it on the PS2 or their PC.

Lupin the Third: Treasure of the Sorcerer King
Platform: PS2
Ships: Nov 5th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: Based on an old series, you play Lupin who happens to be a thief I think. Stealth based gameplay here so be warned... or excited.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Platform: PS2
Ships: Nov 6th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: I'm getting conflicting reports here but it looks like I have good news for PS2 owners, you get first crack at the amazing looking Prince of Persia. Xbox and Gamecube owners must wait until November 18th (or the 11th) while PC faithfuls have December 2nd to look forward to. Keep in mind that the PS2 and Gamecube version will contain an unlockable version of the original Prince of Persia 1 while the Xbox version will have POP1, POP2, slightly better graphics than the Gamecube release and noticeably better graphics than the PS2.

Click here to see this week's DVDs!

I can't seem to list them here without breaking the post. Finding Nemo and X Files season 8 are among this week's highlights.

Finding Nemo on DVD and the final Matrix movie....what a week !

Oh if only the X-Files seasons weren't so expensive!  I would have them all except it's $1,000 to eight of them!

Okay, off to Tokyo, see you in 2.5 weeks guys.

Have fun Rei, safe trip!
