It's snowing outside today, gusting too. I'm a little sad about it but I also appreciate what it means to my inner-gamer. An excuse. Finally, an excellent reason to stay inside and play some games without feeling like you should be doing something else. With Amped 2, Call of Duty, Gladius, Rainbox Six 3 and more hitting shelves this week we're going to need all the help we can get!

Dark Age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis
Platform: PC
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: Give it up for Mythic, still having a successful run with Dark Age of Camelot in the face of Galaxies, the ever present Everquest and the rest of the motley gang of MMORPG's. This newest expansion includes under-water area and sea lions or something.

Gothic II
Platform: PC
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $39.99

The Buzz: Reviewed and talked about often around here Gothic II is an excellent RPG that some of you may pass over because you're afraid of having a good time. It's the only plausible explanation.

Chrome
Platform: PC
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $39.99

The Buzz: Graphics look nice, I don't know much more about it. I'm also much too lazy to dig anything up.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3
Platform: Xbox
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: This isn't a straight port of the PC version, this is a sexied up remake for the Xbox using Splinter Cell shadowing techniques, a more action-oriented game design and online play over Live. All signs point to this one being a winner!

Gladius
Platform: PS2, Xbox
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: A turn-based RPG set in the gladiator times made by Lucas Arts of all companies. Solid buzz surrounding this one, keep an eye out for it.

Top Spin
Platform: Xbox
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: The Xbox is really nailing them this month! Top Spin is rumored to be up there with the late, great Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast. Live enabled as part of the XSN network it could be a lot of fun.

Rogue Ops
Platform: GC, Xbox, PS2
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: If I knew any less about this game it would probably cease to exist.

Amped 2
Platform: Xbox
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: Facing stiff competition from SSX 3 Xbox users have quite the choice ahead of them.

Final Fantasy XI
Platform: PC
Ships: Oct 28th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: The Final Fantasy MMORPG finally makes it to the PC. There really hasn't been a ton of hype around this one in the PC world, I'm hearing there is some neat stuff but it's not incredibly different from the rest.

Call of Duty
Platform: PC
Ships: Oct 29th
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: The demos have everyone frothing at the mouth, with good reason.

European version of Silent Storm comes out this week too Can't wait.

It's snowing outside today, gusting too.

Where do you live?  Canda?  I have sunny skies, temps in the low 90s, low humidity, and offshore winds, none of which I want either.

The Hulk was an awesome movie, I definitely have to pick up that DVD. I'm also leaning heavily towards getting Gladius, though I am going to wait for some reviews/impressions of the final build before I dive in.

Sunny and warm here in the desert SW.  As much as I love gaming, I couldn't stand living up north again where it's gray and gloomy 9 months out of the year.  I may not go outside that much, but it's nice to have sunshine peeking through the blinds every day.

Call of Duty is the only thing I'll be buying soon.  I've been messing around so much in Horizons that I haven't even installed MP2 yet.

FYI - Gladius is also for the Gamecube...

Sure is... next week.

Ah. Well, LucasArts' website is very misleading, darn-it. They say "Availability October 29th!" and then in list "Platforms: XBox, PS2, Gamecube." At least now, I won't call up some poor gamestore clerk and yell at him/her when they told me "no, sir, it's only out for the PS2 and XBox."
