September 1st - 7th

I hope everyone had a refreshing long weekend full of fun and frivolity. If you didnÂ't than maybe you should have picked up some of last weekÂ's awesome releases instead of watching Xena re-runs. WeÂ've got a few heavy hitters this week with SEGAÂ's ESPN Football 2004 finally hitting the shelves and the Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons expansion also making an appearance.

On the DVD front ElysiumÂ's boyfriend Joss Whedon has released season two of Angel. According to the list season one of Alias is also out this week along with season two of Xena: Warrior Princess. If TV shows donÂ't float your boat maybe Monty PythonÂ's The Meaning of Life will do the trick.

ESPN NFL Football
Platform: PS2, Xbox
Ships: Sept 2nd
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: First person view mode, new Â"cribsÂ" feature and online play are all good reasons to take a serious look at SEGAÂ's NFL title. The early buzz has been solid so look out for this one to give Madden a run for his money.

Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII
Platform: PC
Ships: Sept 3rd
Price: $29.99

The Buzz: BF1942 but whacky good times different! Rocket packs, jet planes, missile launching trucks and more. If you liked the original and the Road to Rome expansion I doubt you can go wrong with this one.

Dynasty Warriors 4
Platform: Xbox
Ships: Sept 3rd
Price: $49.99

The Buzz: A straight port of the previously released PS2 version I have no idea what itÂ's about. Safe bet itÂ's a lot like the last three games in the series.

• Alias: The Complete First Season
• Angel: Season Two on DVD
• The Apple Dumpling Gang
• Boyz N The Hood
• The Breakfast Club
• Cheech & Chong's Next Movie
• CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - Second Season

Dear Joss,

Why don't you respond to my letters?  I have some great ideas for new shows.  I didn't mean to scare you at that convention.  I didn't mean to scare you by asking for your autograph in the bathroom, but I swear I was reaching to shake your hand.  I liked your tie.  We should have lunch some time.  I like pizza and hot dogs.  What do you like?

Your friend forever XOXOXOXO

I think I am finally burned out on BF1942.  This mod doesn't interest me that much for some reason.

Did you touch him? Scrape some skin flakes off your hand (you didn't wash it, right?) and sell it to me on ebay. I must have it!

While I am not burnt out on 1942 I have no desire for this expansion pack. I think it has something to do with Desert Combat and Eve of Destruction.

Does Treehouse of Horror offer anything over the Simpson's complete seasons?
