Bethesda was kind enough to send along some screenshots of their upcoming Call of Cthulu. The first 2 are from the PC version, the last from the Xbox.:
I'm hoping this turns out good. I'm thinking if the controls are solid I may buy this for the Xbox instead of my pc. For some reason this seems like it will make for a good console game. I have no idea why I think that, but I do!?

I'm sort of torn on this subject.
On one hand, I like seeing things based on Lovecraft.
On the other hand, the idea of a game based on Lovecraft's stuff always seems a bit odd, since in a game, you'll inevitably end up killing tons of creatures that, in the original novels, couldn't even be described (or at least, could only be descibed in terms of how mind numbingly indescribable they were), let alone be killed in droves. Half the fun of the books was how the protagonist would go mad when he learned that these things even existed. I guess the idea doesn't translate very well into a game.
