Peter Molyneux believes that the British government should be lending financial aide to small game developers. This concept would be similar to subsidies given to the film industry in the region.
With independent developers dropping like flies right now I can see how this would be beneficial to the industry world wide. It doesn't really matter where original and creative games are being made so long as someone is making them.
"It is well known that Britain leads the world in development terms," he told BBC News Online. "There's no other place on Earth that has the concentration of development talent." He said it was essential that the government stepped in with financial aid to help save the country's gaming talent, similar to the way it funds British film-makers.
