Fixed for lost pun opportunity.

did u ever mention to her theres cab service right outside of the airport? thats what i say to Gannon when he want me to pick him up.

No, because I enjoy having sex.

On a related note, Gannon probably has similar reasons for not complaining about taking a taxi.

I love this place so much.

I think my WoW involvement is done for the time being. Didn't really feel like I was contributing much nor was I able to get back into the swing of things this time around. Good luck with conquering Rag 2.0. Will see some of you in SWTOR. Might be back for the next WoW xpac in Q2 2012 but that depends on a bunch of factors.

Ditto for me.

Playing with both of you has been a pleasure. Not like I need to even say it, but if/when you ever come back there'll always be a place for you. You'll both be missed.

ooo he complains, i dont think he cares for the consequence, unless it has something to do with food...

Yay, I accomplished middle-of-the-road DPS! It's like WotLK all over again!

Good to have you along, Mike.

Zero, did you upload the logs?

Uhoh, looks like the corporate overlordsBlizz wants us to stay stuck to our PCs.

Taiwanese and Korean servers are trialling twice a week raid lockouts (for content about to be obsolete).

Thoughts?

I think it'll make multiple farm runs per week viable, and that's cool.

In the end, it is just making the game more accessible, and that is awesome.

As long as it lets us keep IDs still so we can continue to work on something, then this is great.

I think it'll be awesome to take out 6/7 in Firelands twice a week instead of just once and still see almost no tanking loot drop.

At least we'll max VP without having to do any heroics (unless they nerf that in response, too).

Part of me wonders if this is a lead-in to Looking for Raid, since people are effectively going to have two different chances to get loot from each boss every week (one in LFR, one in the normal regular/heroic lockout).

No, had to leave right after the raid and forgot when I got back home.

I'll upload them this evening though.

I think it's more of a reaction to the significantly smaller amount of raiding content available in 4.2. Blizz added a token amount of VP to the release raids in order to allow people get VP from something other than Troll dungeons but that doesn't solve the fact that once you've geared out of the VP vendors, there isn't a whole lot to do except wait on the RNG.

Additionally, I feel like this is indirectly related to LFR in that Blizz is trying to help the average (and by average I mean, of course, woefully inadequate) PUG raider get gear to help guilds like ours. It always irks me when I join a BH run and there's that one DK with AGI, ungemmed gear.

Man, I barely have time for one raid lockout a week, you know?

Not that I'm going to complain about the added flexibility this will bring, but it definitely sounds like a key ingredient in the recipe for burnout to me.

Hey guys it's lights, LC, whatever haha, I'm going to be having alot more free time in the up coming weeks, and i would really like to back into raiding but on a newer character. I made a new warrior over the summer and i'm finally raid ready, i'd like to be fury, since i have no end game tanking xp I just need an invite to the guild :P. If you do not need a fury warrior i can always play my hunter :), thanks!.

Good thing you're buying TOR on the 20th of December...

Last night's logs:

I really need to stop watching the Forza auction house while we raid -- second sloppy night in a row for me.

Bah! Well, maybe. I have a list. Several lists, if I'm honest. Want to see them?

Backlog (games I own that I'm currently playing or failed to finish and still want to)
Jeanne D'arc
Persona 4
Pixel Junk Shooter 2
finish DA2 + DLC?
maybe replay Mass Effect 1 and 2 before 3
Xenoblade
Forza 4
Batman

Released (Games that I didn't buy but am some level of interested in going back and playing)
Enslaved
Deus Ex 3
White Knight Chronicles 2
Ico/Shadow HD
Dead Island
Dark Souls

Upcoming releases (That I'm some level of interested in playing)
November
1: Uncharted 3
11: Skyrim
15: Assassin's Creed
15: Saints Row 3 ($10 credit for preordering on Amazon)
20: Zelda

December
20: Old Republic

January
31: FF 13-2

March
6: Mass Effect 3

Later
Farcry 3
Borderlands 2
Last Guardian

So if even if I finish up Xenoblade and Batman this weekend while my wife is out of town as I'm planning to, there's hundreds of hours of game coming out in November, dozens to hundreds more on my backlog, and hundreds more beyond that on released games I'm quite interested in playing -- far more than enough to fill my spare time during the slow months that follow November. So yeah, another MMO? Well, we'll see.

Ok, so middle-of-the-road DPS was apparently too generous. Yikes.

@ Mike: Don't sweat it too much. You're comparing yourself to a group of DPSers who (1) have done FLs a bunch of times, (2) are very well geared and (3) are pretty darn good.

Yeah, the only fights I had seen up to that point were Beth'tilac and Shannox, and I didn't have any kills there either. So I was struggling on some of those fights. Still, on a few of them, I held my own.

Fixed that for you.

Seriously, though, you did fine, especially considering your gear level and lack of knowledge of the fights. On Shannox (the fight you knew) you did quite well, Baleroc you did excellent given your gear level, Staghelm you were fine on, and Alysrazor and Bethillac are terrible fights to judge DPS by, especially for melee.

You'll be back up to speed in no time.

Melee is awful on Alysrazor

I will be available to wipe on Rag on Sunday.

Sunday is out. Too many peeps not available.

Next week.

Maybe we can do some fun stuff with the usual suspects on Sunday if they're around?

ICC? Blow through some old content for transmog candidates and achievements?

I'd definitely like to finish up the heroic achievements for the WotLK dungeons and get Glory of the Hero done.

Any interest?

I'm good for an hour or two Sunday if we can start on the early side.

Sorry for the short notice, but I'm reinstalling from backup right now. One of my two drives went kaput, and it was the drive with the non-Steam games on it, including my WoW install. Thankfully my last back up was sunday night, but it still a few hours of work to reload and test. Not gonna be done in time, so I'm afraid I'm having to bow out, you'll need to replace Winterbourne on tonight's raid.
