Felicia Day reveals new project

Hmm... I'll wait this out and see. The Guild was pretty fun.

That was almost embarrassing for poor Miss Day. Like people said though, gotta wait a bit for it to warm up. Hopefully it find its feet.

Too much posturing and posing. At least now that I'm playing DA:O, I know what they're talking about.

The absolute worst part was how bad the qunari looked. that and some of the movements seemed unnatural.

Update your drivers.

Haha! It was hard to tell what was cheesy-intentional/ironic and what was cheesy-...err...cheesy. I have to think her always landing and pausing in that kneel-down position was cheesy-intentional. Hard to tell with anything else though. Except maybe Templar dudes "armor"; surely, with the number of people in the credits they could have gotten rid of a couple and gotten something better had they wanted to. At least I'd like to think so.

People are cheap, stuff is expensive! Getting rid of a few people as you suggested wouldn't translate to more money for better costumes.

I think they are doing a great job so far. Obviously they didn't have a huge budget, but I'm not watching this to see great looking armor. I just want to see how good the story is and how good the fight sequences are. Still to early to tell on both fronts.

One of the things I hate in fantasy movies and shows is how clean all the armor is. It completely breaks any sort of immersion I might've had. If someone is a badass, his leather armor shouldn't be in perfect condition. It should be worn ... or have this cool story how he stole it from some knight he beat with his bare hands over some spilled milk.

I quite liked it - and there was a lot more in there than the usual movie on Syfy, on a lot smaller budget.

It was okay, but her mannerisms are too cute to really seem like a bad-ass to me.

I almost feel like the sharpness of the camera is a disservice to the costumes and makeup.

Agreed. That's in part what annoys me about the squeaky clean armor and whatnot as you can see it. The production budget's limitations really shine through.

I think I'll sit father back when I watch the next episode.

Episode 2 is up

Be warned, Miss Day is hot but the show is frickin terrible. I think it may have been written by 4 year olds.

Erm.. she wrote it, actually

I am drowning in cheese.

The most jarring thing is Ms. Day's ears look really terrible and unnatural sticking out of her head. Just bad makeup, the ears on the other "elves" look fine.

I will, however, watch the rest, it's cheesy as hell but entertaining enough.

The DLC was actually quite good, according to my wife. She hasn't seen the webisodes yet, though.

I'm assuming this is just supposed to be completely ridiculous. Kind of enjoying it.

I enjoy it. It's fun popcorn viewing.

This is in the same vein as Sword of Truth (or whatever that show was called), Hercules, Xena, etc. Once I accepted the inherent cheesiness I started enjoying it.

All this talk of chese and popcorn is making me hungry.

So yeah, this won't be nominated for any awards, but if you don't take it seriously, it's a decent way to spend 10 minutes. Plus, there's plenty of Felicia cleavage.

That's all I needed to hear.

The 'elves' look just like humans with dodgy rubber ears. In the game elves looked humanoid but certainly weren't human. I think the showwould look better if they'd worked on production design that, somehow, made the ears more subtle and went for other visual clues to differentiate elf and human. Likewise, with the templar armour. If budget dictates that the film won't look like the game, make a decision to make that separation more distinct.

To be fair, in DA:O, the elves were basically short humans with pointy ears..

"Felicia Day reveals new project, and cleavage" might be a more accurate title for the post.

FTFY.

I'm still watching. I suppose that's a compliment. It's about as awkward as the actual games, so ...

Also, she eats peanuts out of a dead man's bag. Is that healthy? Do elves have better gastric systems?

still love it

She can eat dead nuts out of my bag any day. Wait, what...?
