League Of Legends Catch All

Going back a few pages to my post about changing the recommended items. There's a little java tool for that here: http://lolic.codeplex.com/

Awesome.

Ask and ye shall receive I guess: patch notes indicate changes coming to Skarner included decreased mana cost for crystal slash and increased duration for Impale. Also coming: nerfs to Hextech Gunblade, changes to Corki's Gatling Gun, and various Dominion changes.

Wow, Gunblade getting a small nerf to all stats... I hope that doesn't hurt my hybrid Trist too much.

Weren't some of talking about how they needed to make more item properties into unique properties the other day? Don't think spell vamp was specificity brought up, but at least the thought is one the devs' minds too.

Good to see they are shaking up Dominion a little. Maybe we'll see a use for a wider range of characters in it. I know I always feel like I need to play the same handful of champs to be useful to the team, though even with the changes I know there's still a few that I won't play in Dominion (like my lovely Sona ).

I loved how Akali just killed that Kass over and over.

Might not be new to the lot of you, but I just found Leaguecraft with a handy character builder/calculator. Pretty nice, though it really shows how expensive setting up rune pages are going to be!

I dunno if these ended up making an appearance in this rather large thread, but at least for me (a still relative newbie) there's some really good info here.

If you care about your W/L ratios you might want to avoid playing today. Just did two games and in the first game there were team mates running in place, unable to activate abilities. Second match I got stuck at the spawn point after I died and couldn't do anything other than chat.

Yeah, there was some wackiness going on today.

Oh good, more Annie skins.

I'm beginning to think that they count Annie and Tibbers as separate characters in the skin count. :p

Finally played a bit today. Had more fun with Leona than I did my first week. But 6300 is a lot, think I'd rather spend it on Kog'Maw.

Still need to try Anivia or Sona tonight if I get a few minutes...

I have been playing a lot less Dominion lately. What about the rest of you?

I pretty much only play it when I join you guys in queue. It's ok from time to time, but I still much prefer Summoner's Rift.

Actually, that's all I have been playing lately. Really enjoying it still.

Apparently these are all limited time for Halloween then won't be on sale anymore?

My little group of real-life cronies all reconvened online last night for the first time in a while. A couple days before three of us hopped into a couple of games vs. intermed bots and, with two randoms joining us to fill out the team, we absolutely ran the bots over. This was a first for the group so we were pretty pleased, even though it wasn't our normal group. One of the guys had switched from tank to ranged (Ryze) and saw his performance improve significantly. Another guy (who i've talked about in this thread) switched from Miss Fortune to Morgana and also saw his gameplay improve. So when we hopped in last night with our full group we were finally looking forward to getting over the intermediate hump.

Well, it didn't happen. A couple of the guys just seemed off their game and both games devolved into feedfests that ended with us getting run over. The first game we were one guy short so the spot was filled with a guy playing Wukong. The rest of us filled out the team with Morgana, Ryze, Caitlyn, and Soraka (me). The second game my brother, who always plays support chars, joined us as Sona so I switched to Singed. Meanwhile, our Ryze player screwed up and forgot to actually select his character, getting autoassigned Skarner. :/ That didn't turn out well at all - I think he went 1-15 and something for the round.

Even though we keep losing, I'm still having a great time with it. It's gonna be that much more rewarding when we finally do get over the hump.

Yep, just like last year's Lollipoppy, Pumpkinhead Fiddlesticks, Nosferatu Vladimir, Mundo – Mundo, Kitty Cat Katarina, and Zombie Ryze.

edit: This year's skins as they look in game

I noted the lack of Fiddlesticks in that video. I'm wondering if his inclusion in the artwork was just someone trolling. After all, Surprise Party Fiddlesticks is a long running community gag.

I don't play often, but I've been prefering Summoner's Rift.

The balance issues with dominion are making it stale, just like Twisted Treeline. Maybe the upcoming patch will add some new dynamics.

Yeah, I'm kinda feeling that way too. Still it is a different play style, with its own item inventory and global buffs, so they have more room to shake things up and balance it out. At least I hope.

I'm hopeful the next patch eliminates the surge in Hextech Akalis in every bloody match. I can't configure Leona to handle that situation well at all.

No one can, her vamp is just way too strong. She can go from 100 health to 1000 while bringing a champion down in under 2 seconds it seems

It will, the vamp and lifesteal are being made unique. It should have been this way to begin with, but as with most balance issues it takes a bunch of people abusing a particular thing (ability, item, etc.) for the developers to take notice.

Yay! I was complaining about this like 4 pages back or something. We saw a Jax in Dominion with 3 hextech gunblades. He was completely unstoppable.

That is odd, I saw a video come up on youtube spouting their patch notes saying they already did it? oh wait, i just looked it up, its a "preview". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vwdf1...

Why not just upload it, saying the flaws in your game without fixing them is just stupid and makes people want to take advantage of it now.

*suddenly regrets building double gunblades on Akali to win the other night*

I think they do the previews for the competitive scene. Since there are constant tournies/important matches, it would be kind of sh*tty to spring a patch on them at the last minute. They do these previews to alert the competitive players to the changes so they can begin to edit their strategies and plan for future matches. I think Riot even says stuff like "we know there is Tournament X coming up soon, so this patch will be a light one as we don't want to throw people off too much".

I don't have issue with the patch preview revealing potentially exploitable issues. They never reveal things as bad as the Teleport/Cleanse bug, and the patch previews are pretty close to patch day itself so you don't have much time to abuse anything they reveal.
